NO! Leave Fallout mechanics to Fallout... Remember folks this is not Fallout with swords.

VATS is alright. In Fallout. TES doesn't need it.

I think people may be misunderstanding what I'm asking... I didn't mean do you want Bethesda to pick up V.A.T.S. and plop it in TES V: Skyrim exactly as it was in Fallout 3... I'm asking if you guys want to see some sort of slow-motion cinematic style combat in Skyrim. Not V.A.T.S., but something like it...

Hell no. VATS is stupid, even in Fallout. I really did not like it at all, and most of the time in New Vegas it was useless unless you were up close. Give me iron sights in Fallout over that system anyday.

I liked Oblivion's combat, but it could be improved a bit.

Well, that could work as a sort of "finishing move" that goes off a random critical hit, but that's as far as I would be willing to se it.

VATS system in a TES game is the most horrible idea i've ever heard.

Fallout 3's weapons were so inaccurate that you were forced to use VATS. It was horrible!

ABSOLUTELY NOT have any clue what you're talking about. But people are shouting, and I'm a bit of a joiner.

Something you get for being a high level fighter.
(or a high level mage)

*I think that it would not get old so soon for the mage, but might for the fighter, unless there were a dozen or so custom animations to get via training (and/ or random cycle).

no to vats imo.

Console players might like that to easy they lack of "good aim" with a gamepad, but I would certainly feel it destroyes the Role Play experience in a game like this.

Then let me clarify my response:

Not just no, but [censored] no!

Clear enough?

EDIT: As of this moment 76 Votes total, 68 No votes. Does that tell you something?

Definitely a no

I find the slow motion cinematic kill cliche and that it needs to be put to rest whether it's Fallout or TES.

Wow. A resounding no... Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd love to see an arrow go through a bandits eye in slow motion... Or a fireball rip off a dude's arm...

VATS doesnt belong in TES, but it will be handy if there is aim-assist feature.

Oh come on people the ability to use vats while using spears or a bow or even some magic spells like magic missiles would be awesome, and having such a thing does not make it obligatorily to usage, no more then fast travel has to be used, once again it is the option to use if wanted is all, so drop the hate and open the mind, ....... an assassin type or thief would benefit greatly from it, and could make for some dramatic short clips, I am a rpg player for near 20 yrs now so dont use the "real" rpg player would never because sometimes we would and do for specific reasons.

Blasphemy!

Git a rope, boys...

What this man says, sheesh we don't need every feature that was in Fallout 3 to be in TES guys. Ugh I want to use some skill to kill my enemies in this game.

NO!!

Please, save it for Fallout 4. VATS would be the most horrible thing they could do to the combat system, IMO.
