So, I'm watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9dgeYkYOZA via Netflix/Xbox Live at the moment. The movie was filmed in entirely in Norway and I gotta say, when they show shots of the mountain-side and the terrain in general- I'm left in a bit of 'awe.' It looks amazing. I'll be satisfied if Skyrim looks half as majestic as the images I've seen so far. I know Skyrim isn't Norway, but much of the inspiration must've come from it, just from what I've seen of the game and the Nord race in general.


Anyways, talk amongst yourselves. Thoughts. Terrain. Troll Hunter. Skyrim. Mountains.

You know what is going to be majestic? Climbing those 7000 steps and seeing that view from atop the Throat of the World. Even the opening of the HD demo, with Todd in the lush forest surrounded by mountains and rolling fog is a sight to behold.

Much of it did come for Norway. That's why it looks that way. Nords = Scandinavians

Well, the landskape of Skyrim is mountanous and set in colder climated and Norway fits that, more or less. Most people from Norway, Sweden etc have been aware of this for a long time.
Also: The Troll Hunter is a good movie IMO

Well, one thing I've noticed from the images I've seen of Norway so far, the mountains found in the lusher areas of the terrain seem to be just covered in evergreen. I know typical images of mountains have tree lines, but these mountains are just covered in them.
