8. Making Spells. Morrowind and Oblivion had it. It made the game. Smithing, Alchemy, Enchanting? Forget those. They're boring. AND OVERPOWERED. In Morrowind and Oblivion you never had to worry about being over-powered through spell creation.

Many times when I say LOL I just mean something is funny. This time I mean I literally laughed my a** off and was glad nobody was around. Nice troll!

lol - brilliant :) I'm stealing this, and pretending it's my own line!

Quite how people are taking this seriously, after an intro like that, I'm not sure.

quite a few people saw mw3 and just stopped reading :intergalactic:

Hey, some people became rich and famous because of their passion for Smartassery, such as Horace of Some Ancient Greek City-State, William Shakespeare, Johnathan Swift, and Steve Jobs.

Oh yeah, and "Yahtzee" Croshaw.

hey I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it
quite like it myself

in fact let's do a bit of it right now
definition time, [censored]es XD

sat·ire
(str)
n.
1.
a. A literary work in which human vice or folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit.
b. The branch of literature constituting such works. See Synonyms at caricature.
2. Irony, sarcasm, or caustic wit used to attack or expose folly, vice, or stupidity.

Trolling (couldn't get a proper dictionary definition for this one)

Trolling is trying to get a rise out of someone. Forcing them to respond to you, either through wise-crackery, posting incorrect information, asking blatantly stupid questions, or other foolishness. However, trolling statements are never true or are ever meant to be construed as such. Nearly all trolled statements are meant to be funny to some people, so it does have some social/entertainment value.

I think both would apply in this case
the OP may not have had the intention of trolling but it undeniably had this outcome
also one doesn't have to exclude the other
some of the best trolling is in fact very solid satire (IMO it's the only trolling worth while since it offers amusemant to those who "get it"

I don't know why, though; the OP was funny and on target.

Ugh. As a counterpoint, the people who do get the humor in the OP seem to all be anti-FPS elitists. I haven't played MW3 specifically, but I haven't heard a bad word about it, and FPSes are a great genre of games, from the original Castle Wolfenstein through Doom, Doom 2, Heretic and Hexen, down to Halo and the CoD series. I understand that nothing in MW3 is likely to be a quantum leap, but then no version of Civilization was light years ahead of its predecessor. It's a question of constant evolution. I suppose they could instead only come out with a new CoD game every five years, where the jump in quality would be apparent, but it seems the players prefer more frequent installations in the series, which means features will evolve incrementally, rather than showing revolutionary jumps.
