Skyrim texture!

Bethesda claiming they are using new engine to make Skyrim more beautiful, but Xbox360 presentation wasn't that impressive from graphic point of view, i hope PC version is more attractive and can save so claiming ''creation engine''!!!...

You guys can share you fillings about new graphics, agreements or disagreements!.

Subjective /thread

Also more means more than Oblivion not more than other games. So unless you disagree with that theres nothing to discuss.

Considering the scale of the game the visuals are quite impressive. The PC will look cleaner and more refined, but will still be in the same realm as the console versions until those crazy texture mods that are utterly uncompressed start to appear about 8 months to a year after release. And even then the models themselves will look similar.

Why thank you, most generous one. Not sure if I want to share my fillings...they've cost me a pretty penny. Besides I think it would be quite bad for the dental hygiene.

However, I will reply to your post and answer thusly: PC-version will boast higher resolution on the textures...as far as I understand. Considering what we have seen has all been on the Xbox...I think it looks marvelous!

I think the game looks great! I'm more of a design freak than a graphics junkie, so I don't really care about poly-count or texture size. Design is number one, concerning the visual aspect of any game. That's the reason I still fully enjoy Morrowind more than Oblivion.

Stuck in Bethesda games? No, I've played way more games than you can count, and besides are graphics really such a big concern? I think you should be worried about game mechanics rather than visuals.

So sure about yourself! :glare: , and you saying that graphics not playing important rule - game mechanics - graphics - story, is most important elements...

The entire point is not that things look that much better close up, but that the far distant scenery is much improved, while the close ups look a little better. The middle distance will still suffer from low grass distance and the like, inevitable with Xbox RAM causing bottlenecks, but that can be overcome with a modern PC's memory.

Only thing i HATE ABSOLUTELY HATE is the shadows, more importantly LACK OF SHADOWS. Mainly enviromental shadows too, makes the land look bland. If the PC version has no shadows im going to be disappointed, Oblivion had more/better shadows.

When you compare graphics you need to compare like with like. You can't compare an openworld game like Skyrim with games that have stages/ small cell loading.

An open world game is far more resource intensive, this means that LOD must be reduced to have equal performance.

The graphics are amazing for a game of its type, compared to a FPS its still good but not top end.

The xbox has 512MB of memory to share between processor and graphics unit. All of the textures in use at any time have to fit in that tiny amount of space. Of course the PC will be able to have much better textures, and you can count on modders making a good high def within the first 6 months. That said, I think you'd have to be blind to not see the improvement in faces, animations, and full dynamic shadows.

If you are referring to Skyrim, then you should know that it does have dynamic shadows, environmental and AI.

Apple and cherry. Sometimes blackberry. Those are my fillings on the matter. I also believe the textures will be just as sweet.
