Skyrim is the next Game Informer cover!

Post » Tue Aug 25, 2009 10:31 am

hehe great news .. I live in Canada, anyone knows if GI is available here?
thks!

It is. I bought it for Oblivions release issue.

Imagine, if you can: 34 different sets of calipers, realistic caliper physics, 100+ caliper-based quests. I would say over 70% of the man-hours put into Skyrim so far have been toward the goal including more calipers in the game by any means necessary.

Sweet! /Cartman

I have one word for you, just one: calipers.

That's all well and good, but the real issue is how many kinds of plates and dishes are going to be in Skyrim. I think the technology is finally advanced enough to have entire sets of dinnerware.

A wider variety of calipers and caliper accesories has been my number one suggestion these past ~5 years!

In what time of the month does Game Informer usually come out? And how many pages can we expect about Skyrim?

Since the cover will be revealed on the 6th, you can expect issues to start being sent out around that time. People will probably start receiving the earliest issues around the 9th or so.

I guess that includes the spork too if we want to talk about dinner wear that wasn't in Oblivion

Just go to your local rag shop and buy that issue. That's what I am doing.

Game Informer for those with subscriptions will come out in January 6 (it's technically the February issue for everyone else) and I would expect five or so pages of content. If it's anything like the Oblivion issue, Bethesda will mostly reveal information on the new engine, physics, graphics, combat, etc., and some nice juicy screen shots! :disguise:

Does this mean that Nord can finally be able to get his work done? :o

That's it: TESV will have dragon vs. skyship aerial combat. Or maybe just dragon vs. collapsible fork combat. I guessed it first.

This is amazing news, but does this mean we're gonna have to wait till next month before we get to see any screens? I don't know if I can wait that long...

EDIT: I'm glad to hear that us spec threaders were right.

This is great news! I was very disappointed in the lack of calipers in Fallout 3 and really felt as though you guys really dropped the ball in that regard. With 34 sets of calipers, I should be able to measure every square micron in Skyrim.

You didn't even need to put up all those links. If people don't get by now that you won't say anything about TESV without knowing it as a fact then they haven't been paying attention. Although it is good to hear.

He's excited - we all are. At least he's funneling it into something productive instead of putting down someone else's efforts to be helpful. ;)

Yeah, I am really looking forward to this next issue. I wonder if the cover will be artistic or in-engine? Either way, exciting stuff. :)

Posting scans here is against the rules, I'm afraid.

No, it's the February issue for everybody. Each issue is named after it's pull date, which is the month after it's released. So the February issue, despite being released in January, will be pulled off the shelves in February, and in it's place will come the March issue that was technically shipped in February.

Jeez guys, I didn't think you'd all be so shocked and appalled by me posting an excess of links. As I've already said, I had posted them in a previous post so it took less than 2 minutes to find them and repost them. It was not all that hard, I assure you.

Did you misunderstand me, or am I misunderstanding you? My irritation was directed expressly at the individual knocking the examples you put up - I personally found them helpful.

I'm aware it's the February issue friend. Subscribers get it a month early though, which is why members, including myself, will get it January 6. =)

I'm simply clarifying that I didn't post them all because of excess excitement, is all. Though I am excited.

No, that's not how it works. If anything, subscribers get it a few DAYS early, but that's it. You will get it around January 6th, I will get it around January 6th, and stores, and therefore everyone else, will get it a few days after January 6th. Giving subscribers the magazine a month early and therefore a month to leak it onto the internet would be a terrible way to do business.

Sure, but they always pop up somewhere.

Of course, but I'm just saying you wont be able to find them here.

A leak would be information Bethesda wouldn't want getting out. This would merely be information that subscribers would get earlier than everyone else, and would encourage others to get subscriptions. How is that bad business? I personally don't know when retail will get the new issue as I have never paid attention, but it is the February issue. I would at least expect it a week after subscribers get it.

But now it looks like we have to wait almost another month before we get any new info about the game...

Oh well. I'm just happy the game was announced when it was.

I think our only option is to order from Amazon.
