Hi first of all let me say i am a big elderscrolls fan. Ever since i first installed arena i have been hooked on all of bethsdas RPGs.

My first impression of oblivion (like many others) was the entire lack of style and culture, say compared to morrowind. The more i played oblivion i soon come realized why.
Unlike morrowind Cyrodiil is a hub of many nation's, built upon a dead civilization, but inhabited by race's from many corners of tamriel. I do think bethsda had this in mind when they where creating oblivion and actually ended up making it look correct. I do understand many people felt the capital should have more style but this very rarely happens (in real life any way) in societys due to so many diffrent cultures. Better to have none then to favour a pariculer race or culture. And iam pritty sure the imperial nation prefares to absorb culture rather than force theres' upon it. I mean come on this is a nation that made peace with the orcs and now holds them so highly in the Emperor's Legions.

I do believe just by moving outside of Cyrodiil towards the blackmarsh,valenwood or highrock you should see so much more culture and style then you ever would in cyrodiil.
I iam very hopefull that skyrim will be very aesthetically pleasing due to the nordic culture and wind swept frozen tundra. And iam quietly hopefull that bethesda will be giving us something along the lines on bloodmoon.

Bloodmoon is probally my favorite game (expansion pack) ever made and just by moving to skyrim you have sealed the deal for me.

Especially after playing tons of Fallout, I was leaning towards a lush, tropical environment such as the Summerset Isles, but honestly, with all the alien architecture and soaring towers forged of "colored glass like insect wings", etc, Summerset just sounds like a place that's probably better left until the next generation of console hardware hits. So yeah, I'm happy with Skyrim.
