Any chance of someone getting that music and the final drawing to share? :P

I thought it was cool. I love watching stuff like that - plus the music was great :D Just waiting for someone to post up the initial screenshot now (you know it's coming :P )

Hopefully so... :whistling:

I'm more interested in the music actually. Pretty dark, yet beautiful. Is it supposed to be 'explore' music or maybe 'dungeon'?

Hopefully dungeon. As a dungeon track that'd be amazing but I want the explore music to be more melodic, mesmerizing and Oblivionlike.

Yeah the music sounds perfect for exploring huge, vaulted Dwemer ruins. I can imagine stalking through a Moria-esque settlement to that music. Just think of it...

I am in serious need of a tissue over here, guys!

I love the music. I can't wait to explore the snowy landscape with that track in the background! :)

Definitely agree on the music. Dark, low, beautiful. Can't wait to hear it in context of the game.

Well it is a soundtrack. It would only distract if it was going at full speed the whole time.

hehe,. well its growing on me now :) listened too it a couple of times now, the very slow parts kinda builds up the more epic parts ^^ so yeah, I think it will turn out great in the game :)

Not to mention the concept art being extremely beautiful this time around. The concept art for Oblivion was nothing compared to this. I hope we can get a book of these pictures somewhere, maybe in the collectors edition!

This is also dated late 2009. Hell were early 2011, imagine how much further the game has come and if any of the magazine screens are just as old.

Whoa, didn't see that one coming. I love step-by-step art stuff, so this was great. Can someone clarify how long the piece took?

Doesn't say, but just looking at the amount of work and how fast it appears to have been sped up, I would guess that is about 8-10 hours worth of work, maybe even less.

Why would they show outdated screens if they had better ones available?

The Cave Troll looks fierce, and combined with that dark music gives me chills.

Wonderful update! The art makes me anxious to adventure in Skyrim now! The music is solemn while the higher instruments that enter and recede give it a touch of grandeur. It causes me to imagine Skyrim as a rugged, magical landscape. Many thanks to Bethesda and GameInformer!

Hmm.. Maybe so that people would get excited over the old screens, thinking they were new. And then later unveiling what the final touches look like, resulting in added excitement and anticipation.

They showed that screenshot as a step in the process for this Paint-over, not to show what the game looks like. The paint over process wouldn't have changed from then until now, in fact the whole point is for them to improve what they already have. The Screenshots in GI are most likely the most up-to-date that they had.
