Skyrem 2: Return of da Dragonborn confirmed my uncle's cousin's brother works at Bethesda he told me.
I think they initially planned more dlc, this was dropped because of all the problems getting them to run, they used a year getting the dlc to PS3, more would increase the problems. Fallout NV had much of the same issue running on PS3 with all the DLC.
Only update who might happen now patches who fix major incompatibility. If Skyrim had not run under windows 8.1 that would be patched.
i'm sure people thought that after Oblivion we'd get Elder Scrolls V, but then Fallout 3 came along. Maybe Bethesda are working on a different IP, or a new one. Until we get a confirmation, we can speculate, but we can't say it's a fact.
Its dead. Beth only said they might release a patch to appease the masses. I don't see any chance of them releasing a patch.
Why should they start an new IP? They have elder scroll and Fallout. In short they are overworked, they would not start an new franchise unless they was very sure it would outsell Fallout. If they hired more people they would simply make more TES and Fallout.
It's extremely unlikely BGS is working on a new IP or have something else in the works. It is way too early for another TES. Additionally with the massive amount of speculation around themysterious Survivor 2299 -site, the most likely option is Fallout 4.

Yeah sure, but the reason people were talking about that in the first place was because Beth put the Imperial City in Skyrim when the game was released. That implies that it was initially planned to go there, or else maybe that Skyrim used parts of Oblivion that were not removed.
I'm pretty sure they are all done with Skyrim and have moved on for months now.
I think they did a great job with supporting the game although I would have liked to see more meaty DLC (similar to Bloodmoon for Morrowind) but I still loved them.
I actually started a new character over the weekend and it's so great to be back in Skyrim.

What you mean no more pretty snow no more winterhold no more skyrim and elder scrolls games?
I think they stopped making DLC due to the whole issue of trying to get dawnguard and possibly even hearthfire to ps3.
Bethesda in 2016 when Skyrem 3: Revenge of Alduin and the Hurr Durr Dragons Dwarven DLC is delayed much to the anger of fans everywhere
tbh i think BGS should actually separate their core team into 2 groups: one that works on TES and One that Works with Fallout all being overlooked by Todd Howard. Because to me it's clear both TES and FO needs to be supported longer than just a year and a half. It's ridiculous.
There is no patch. They said there would be no more support for Skyrim as the team was disbanded and moved on to other projects (most likely Fallout 4).
I couldn't agree more. They can make tons of money on these games as Skyrim has shown. They should double their team and spilt them up.
That way perhaps we could get a fully polished game in four or five years instead of seven or eight. Same for the FO crowd.
And they could support their games for three years with a partial team while the rest begin work on the next installment in the series.
But still we are asking for logic from a business and business logic sometimes makes no sense, especially where Beth is concerned.
If Beth divides their development team for the whole development process then you can count on a smaller game but within the same time frame. Bethesda already divides their team during early and late development. When a game is in full production the whole team is working on it. Closer to release they take a segment of the team to start working on their next project, while another segment is left to finish development of the current project and support the game after release. Usually support of the latest release is stopped when the next project is ready for the whole team. The process repeats.
