Skyrim is unfinished

Post » Thu Mar 07, 2013 10:40 pm

Does anyone find that they rushed TES 5? 80% of the NPCs did nothing but tell you to go away, the guards did the same, almost all the quests were simply: talk to X, go to Y, fight Z, retrieve A. 4 of the hold capitals were smaller than Helgen, and half of the map was the almost identical.

the entire game was oversimplified, boring and unfinished.

Did I mention that all the dungeon puzzles had the answers in front over your eyes?

This puzzle. All you had to do was look up and left, and there, now you just mashed the A button for a while.

i think if they finished it the way they wanted to we'd still be waiting for it.

Yeah it's pretty obvious that they didn't complete everything they set out to do.

Oblivion was the same, it felt unfinished in areas.

It was rushed to make the 11/11/11 deadline. They should have never established that release date. It was done for marketing purposes. I hope the next time they wil just say, "it will be done when it's read".

I just think, the audience has changed a lot... with an attention span of 140 characters, what do you expect?

They can't all be gems, as the saying goes.
I still have fun with it though, so I don't complain, really.

It's far easier to get stuck in flaws than see what they did right. Skyrim's a huge game, so of course it's going to have unfinished parts and downgrades.

Many of these aren't examples of "unfinished". They're examples of design decisions you don't like.

(not saying I wouldn't prefer some things to have been done different ways - like, for example, a quest journal with actual text in it), but that doesn't make a game "unfinished."
