Skyrim Update 1.9, two things about it

Post » Tue Mar 05, 2013 10:14 am

First off, how do you all feel about the Legendary feature. Personally, I don't see anything positive or negative about it.

Secondly, think we'll see any future DLC files like we did with Dragonborn?

Feel free to move or delete this thread if it's not necessary.

So far there is no sign of DLC4 data.

But overall I'm "meh" about it, since it'll do what I've had 2 mods doing for a while now.

And I don't play above Novice difficulty.

The legendary skills seem fine to me, seeing as how I'm going to use it for more magicka. There's no hints of DLC4 in the patch this time. So I guess we have to wait a while longer. The legendary setting on the other hand..meh it just gives enemies more health and nerfs damage output. Nothing phenomenal.

I guess either they haven't been added yet or Bethesda learned not to put them in right away.

Any free content is good to me as far as I'm concerned. Just adds more depth to the games.

I think DLC stuff is in the next patch. We still need new trademarks, and if it's Redguard it's probably a fairly substantial thing.

This patch got me excited to play skyrim again. Hopefully legendary makes ai smarterand not just have more health. If we're really lucky it will be a hardcoe mode.

I guess either they haven't been added yet or Bethesda learned not to put them in right away.

They have to patch the game to add in more DLC though. So if this one doesn't contains anythign related to it it either means there won't be more, or that they'll release one more patch before the next one.

Could also be that since PC version is easier and cheaper to update than console verions that the console versions of the patch will include data not on the current PC patch

I see the developers still don't see fit to include a facility to turn-off, or adjust the frequency of, ranged and melee kill-cams, even though it is often requested. Nice to know they listen to the players.

I think the legendary setting would be better if you were able to keep your perks.

...for crying out loud... if they werent listening to the players at all, this patch would not even exist in the first place... your PERSONAL "requests" mayve not been included, but as you can read in this forum already, MANY people are giving this patch a LOTS of praise.. so that alone contradicts your claims..

I'm assuming that the new patch is more for console gamers, as PCers have the modding community. I'm on console so I'm pretty excited.

you will be given back the perk points, so once you get your level up again, just use them again

Well... yeah, but then the only reason you're going "legendary" is to get back the perk points then reuse them on the same skill. It seems like it would make more sense to use your less used skills to go legendary.

Legendary doesn't affect me, as I won't be using it. I'm glad it's there, though, for folks who do want to use it.

I'm gonna guess no. Still, I'm just glad I get a difficulty thats tougher than master.

If there was DLC data it would be DLC3, not DLC4. The Files list Hearthfire as BYOH I think. Dragonborn is DLC2.

But when you level up all the enemies will level up too. So now you'll be facing even more difficult enemies with novice level skills.
