You can no longer run Skyrim without Steam by running TESV.exe directly. That's the only change.

That's it? Is it really that much of a pressing issue for Bethesda or Valve that people are bypassing Steam by using the .exe directly? Lol.

Let me just say what people don't wont to hear: No its not a game update. No there wasn't bug fixes. It's just steam reminding you that the game you paid for is not truely yours.

It seems since the patch, that I now have a "studder" in first person when I move my camera vertically....

Did you have the /largeaddressaware flag on your exe? If you don't not know what I am talking about then your stutter is a placebo effect as NOTHING was changed in your exe other than DRM.

Edit:

To the OP, not to be rude but there are dozens of threads about this patch in the PC tech forum, it would have been easier to look at all those instead of making a new one in the General forum.

I thought I would place this here as well since many people are having this issue after today.

If you're having trouble launching the game:

1. Right click on the game in the Steam library and select Properties
2. Navigate to the "Local Files" tab
3. Click "Verify integrity of game cache"

I'd rather there be something here in General as most of us CBA to roam all over the place looking for stuff.

So if I want the update I will no longer be able to use the TESV.exe and I will have to run the game through Steam ?

I'll skip on the update then thank you very much.
