Skyrim Vampire Clans

That would be cool, although I would be happier if they were Vampire Hunters. =]

<_<

On a side note, they need to also hunt werewolves............assuming Bethesda gives us werewolves

Can we all agree that a Quest where The Classy and Bloodlined Vampire Clans attempting to wipe out the beastly shunned vampires and werewolves would be SOOOO SICKKKK

Being a fan of vampires in general, I would love to see such a thing.

Unfortunately, I kind of hate how TES does vampires.

So it would be something I'd love to hate, I guess.

You'd rather have the vampires sparkle when exposed to sunlight then?
I say that we should just keep it as it is. Some improvements, but keep the classic TES feel.

I have to say, I really don't care. I have very little interest in vampires and no interest in becoming one in Skyrim.

Yes, definitely. I loved Vampirism in Morrowind, and hated it in Oblivion. It was pretty stupid in Oblivion.

Yeah I mean look even if you don't like Vampires or care about them in the game... its an awesome thing to keep the game mysterious and exciting.

Thing is it makes sense that vampires clan give you few quests like those in morrowind. In elder scrolls they are basically self-centered blood svcking sociopath freaks that keep to their small circle of "friends". If you are a newbie in their clan you wouldn't even be in their chain of command. I don't care if they don't add clans or vamps. They'll be added by mods anyway lol same with werewolves.

I sure hope there will be vampire clans. I also hope there will be werewolves. You become a were wolf and the vampires seek you out or you seek them out. I just hope they make it so that you can choose to become one rather than waking up and being told you will turn in three days time. I hated it in Oblivion how I slept in the scary old manor (can't remember what it's name was) and woke up with that message. I just wasn't ready for that yet.

Absolutely. Of course I want my vampire slayers guild too!

There is one, though it had only one quest, you could get 250 gold for each clump of vampire dust. Go to the Imperial City with a fame of 20 or so. Youll see.

Hmmmm, this reminds me of a book that I read in Oblivion I forget what its called but its the book thats in the camp thats across the sewers in the intro thing. Not sure what the types of vampires and the other clans but I know that they answer the question perfectly.

there should be vampire clans but not as passive towards one another as they where in morrowind and more missions available maybe even tell tail signs of what blood you have inherited for example (im going to use the morrowind vampire clans in this example) if you have Quarren blood your character will be more muscular then before and slightly taller. or if you have Berne blood your character will be thinner and more agile looking. and if you have Aundae blood your character will have glowing red eyes

Allright so in Morrowind there seemed like more Benefits from becoming a vampire way stronger, faster, etc. But what was cool was there were Vampire Clans which you could join and do cool quests. Lets face it in Oblivion it just wasn't as sixy... there were not many vampires and they were not Factioned. Overall Skyrim is perfect for vampires political turmoil, intense rugged conditions, secluded mountain ranges. What do you guys think?

Vampire clans? sounds interesting

Yes!^

Like the Volkihar should be all savage and gnarled looking, think 30 days of night vampires.

And the Order should be those civilized vampires that look human with the exception of redish eyes.

concerning vampires (sorry a little off topic) if you're wearing a hood, or a mask, or a closed helmet, then people shouldn't be able to notice you're a vampire. that would make being a vampire so much more accessible.

AND no sunlight damage. Lets face it if the sun doesnt touch your skin why should you be damaged?

Werewolf tribes is something we saw in Daggerfall. Based on lore, werewolves usually wander alone. Only twice was it shown that werewolves hunt in packs. In Daggerfall, there was a Lycanthrope pack with a wereboar as it's leader. And in Bloodmoon, there was a large pack of werewolves controlled by Hircine. I'm all for a werewolf tribe.

One thing I would really like to see is for them to keep true with something they put in Oblivion. If you read the book "Immortal Blood," it talks about a vampire hunter who comes to a man very knowledgeable about vampires (in the end the knowledgeable man turns out to be a vampire). When he speaks about the vampires of Skyrim, he talks about how they catch their victims off guard by reaching up through the ice and grabbing hold of them. I am not sure how this mechanic would work but it would be very fun to do in my opinion.

As long as it isn't anything like that vampire romance BS (which im pretty sure it's not)... I'm all in, i like real vampires, like the ones in "30 days of night".

I don't really care if we have one or many clans, but at least one "family"/clan/guild should must be in.

Would be a good fit out in those lone peaks.

It would be cool if they were played of as a myth or something women tell their children so they don't go wandering.

But as the game plays out it gets more and more real.

But they aren't monsters hiding in the mountains. They are high society in every city.

If they did a number of warring factions they could add faction specific perks too.
