Skyrim Vampires in TESV

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 6:29 am

Some of you might, or might not know that the vampires in skyrim can "reach" through their "under-lake" dens without breaking the ice. Well here's the question, if TESV what do you want to happen with the vampires? Want it to go to a random loading screen if your walking over a frozen lake? or see a bunch of vampires jump up out of no where? Whats your idea?

Edit: This post is of course if the TESV is in Skyrim, if you'd rather talk about it being in Valenwood then you can talk about the different "mist" effects on each tribe and such

I'm guessing you think grammar is "gay" as well.
I'm not sure if this thread belongs in the suggestions thread or something, but here's my 2¢
I personally would like it if it were this: Your walking carefully along an iced-over lake, shivering from the bitter cold. Suddenly your pulled downwards and knocked unconscious. You awake hours later, huddled in a cage with several other scared prisoners-
You get the idea. A loading screen wouldn't bother me, but I don't care for it either.

Homophobia is just as bad as racism. Diversity includes everyone!

Careful Mankar, the rightwingers smell weakness when you voice such 'values'.

No. Vampires are gay, anyway.

This thread is already full of so much win, I'd hate to ruin it by actually responding to the topic.

Well, flamewise, if Beth follows it's current pattern, we WILL have vampires in whatever the next game is, but they certainly won't be unique or thought out, and chances are you probably won't be able to become infected yourself anymore. They had to cut that to include spears, which actually fall under the "Blades" category, which includes axes.

The Immortal Blood account of them interests me, and it was written recently(for Oblivion), so I hope that means they've been thinking about making vampires in Skyrim just as they described them. They can also turn into mist and travel in that form for a short while.

It's more reasonable and dangerous than turning into a fart mist.

But what if:

A wants to get B out of dungeon because B is being experimented on by a wizard who is under guard. A manages to get to the prison cells but he hears the guard coming and transforms into a prune, the guard comes to check on B still a bit hungry and find the prune and eats it. Yes what if you eat a vampire while he/she is in the form of a food!

You transform back into a vampire in their mouth. You could sneak into any fancy dinner on the serving tray, then eat the guests.

I lol'd.

I figure they'll just ignore what they've said about being able to reach through the ice. Goodness knows Bethesda is keen on dropping lore when it might make their job harder. They could give vampires a decent frost spell though.

Well then, that was a lovely idea Shades...but its doubtful they will turn into prunes. anyway, i think it'd be cool if vampires pop out of the ice or hands drag you down, popping out would add an element of suprise and scariness as would being dragged under but if they drag you under and let you go your screwed right? your under a sheet of ice in freezing water which could kill you by itself in a seconds, plus unless the sheet is thin your gonna drown. so maybe just popping out of the ice and scaring the crap out of ppl.

I'm no PC player, but isn't there a command(tgm, is it?) that allows the player to go through stuff? Couldn't they just turn that into a castable ability that works with ice, only?

That's a noclip debugging feature. Those kind of things aren't very pretty because the game isn't meant to let you pass through solid objects. Although ice could just count as normal water for vampires or something.

But really that bit of lore sounds like it was hastily lifted from the Beowulf legend.

I will solve that problem - use the suggestions topic please whilst I go through the posts here and decide what to do.
