BEARCRABS are the scariest sound animal of all time, OF ALL TIME.

Crabs with fur sounds like a great pet ^^

There's also a ton of crabs on the bottom of the worlds ocean, where it's generally aat the freezing point or even below freezing (yes that can and does regularly happen underwater).

Someone should tell you:
- that water can't get below freezing point because it becomes ice
- that water is 'heaviest' at 4°C and that ice floats on the water

I think he meant the actual temperature of the water. Underwater it shouldn't become ice due to the constant amount of salinity no matter what the temperature

I'm sure they meant the 'official' boiling point of 0C. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think salinity makes the actual point at which water freezes much lower. Water normally goes to 4 degrees at it's lowest point, and freezes at the top, but in oceans where there is, you must admit, a very large amount of water, it gets colder at the bottom due to huge amounts of compression and cannot freeze.

I live in Norway, we have extremely many different kinds of crabs in the sea outside the Norwegian coast. Where do you get that from with crabs only living in tropical climates? :brokencomputer:

EDIT: Also, washington, what you say is true. That with 4C temperature water being densest, it's a main reason that the sea bottom doesn't freeze. You are wrong that water can't go under the freezing point, though. Saltwater has a lower freezing point than 0 degrees.

And it can't go lower then that, right? Let's say it's -2°C, but it can't go to -3°C?

Edit: to be on topic: Mudcrabs! I hate them! Annoying little beasts. Other day I saw a couple of them.

I don't know exactly. I only know that it needs to be colder to freeze salt water than distilled water.

I'm fairly certain that because ice is less dense than water, if water is very pressurized it cannot freeze.

I'd actually really like to see some huge version of the mudcrab that is extremely dangerous, would be a nice change after having them as near-harmless critter for so long

People, please! Stay on topic!

I don't think we'll get any mudcrabs in Skyrim. I don't remember seeing one at Solstheim. Maybe something like "frostcrabs" or "snowcrabs".

actually this is incorrect. pure water will only form ice if there is a particle for the ice crystals to form onto. Or something like that, it's called super cooling.

It's funny because salt water can go below the freezing point and you're not aware of it.
