I don't vote for hype machines. GOTY isn't even as important as Best Picture Oscar, and I could care less about that.

Take that. Now I can shove it in people's faces how Skyrim is better than MW3 and Fifa!

I havent played those other games but I really love this game.

The GOTY thing is just for Bethesda and their marketing but I do believe they did make a great game here

I wanted it to be, and totally agree with it being, Skyrim... that said, I was honestly expecting it to be Arkham City.

I'm a little disappointed with their marketing, not particularly with the game it self though.
But the award is based on the game and it is a grand game... So, Skyrim. Congratulations Bethesda

Skyrim's cool and all, but I voted for Zelda.
Nothing beats Zelda, not even Morrowind.

I have issues with the Zelda franchise... I've played plenty of them, and even loved them at one point, but somewhere last console generation, I lost interest in the gameplay, and wasn't even able to go back and play the older games and get any measurable enjoyment out of them. I honestly don't know why. My brother actually said Twilight Princess was awesome, so I went and played it, too (even though this was after my turn around to disliking the franchise), and I honestly couldn't stand it. Yeah, it loked good (for a Zelda game), but damn... it was stale and stagnant... and thus I have no interest in the new game whatsoever.
