Skyrim voted greatest game of this generation WHY

It's better then the boring stuff we got in skyrim, the dialogue in skyrim was so bland and uninteresting and I wouldn't say Skyrim's main quest was a good story at all.

This, we technically have two endings for New Vegas. The Courier's story ending and the hoover dam ending, honestly I thought the Hoover dam ending was great depending on your interactions and choices with the various factions in the Mojave and the writing for Old world blues and Dead money were really good.

Don't know about that. Played the legion's ending for the first time recently and it felt a lot more different than the NCR ending and the independent ending... and the house ending... and the corrupt NCR ending... and every time with different people joining me at the dam.

exactly, each ending has a different feel and different outcomes in my opinion that's better then skyrim's, hell in New Vegas we knew the goals of each faction but in skyrim Alduin never mentions what his plans are people just assume he is trying to end the kalpa because of the world-eater part yet not once do we see him actually eat any part of Nirn.

Skyrim is far from game of the generation. Just the downward trend of the guild quests and the horrible lip-sync bug is enough to scare off most people who expect quality in their games. Yes, I know that Skyrim does 100 things right for every 10 things wrong, but those two things are absolutely major.

Most Beth games do have their problems. Oblivion had a horrible leveling system for both the character and game world around you, by doing things like dropping bandits in glass armor into dungeons right in front of your very eyes, scaring the life out of you!

Fallout 3 did most things right, except a forced 'Daddy!' main quest that gave you no room to join the Enclave or raiders.

Fallout NV gave us fantastic weapon mods and a faction system. The only problem that I couldn't relate to Legion, NCR or Mr House, so ended up hating the whole thing. Lol.

Which game is better? Hard to say with all the problems. Mods can fix most things so out of the four it is just up to personal preference.

However, Beth games are heaps better than the opposition and 1000 hours of game play is great value for money.
