If Skyrim was adapted into a TV Series...

In a previous thread, I asked the question, how about an adaptation of the Elder Scrolls inot movies/series, the results were mixed at best, with original stories being favored over directly addapting the main series games, or, one idea, Redguard being adapted into a trilogy. Now I pose this question, if the latest entry in the series, Skyrim, was adapted into a TV show.. well... that comes later.

This would be a loose adaptation, and a lot of things in the story could change, while the basic flow of the story, as well as the lore and the world would remain the same, much like shows adapted from other works like the Walking Dead and A Song of Ice And Fire. The show would follow the Dragonborn on their jurney to master the Way of the Voice, dicover why the Dragons are returning and slay Alduin and save Tamriel. But of course, this wouldn't be a simple straight forward line from Helgen to Sovngarde. Along the way, they would meet characters, join guilds, go on adventures, explore the land, retell old stories we all know and expericne new ones. The Dragonborn wouldn't be just some generic hero, but a hero with secrets, with complexity, a friendly and curious sort, while having a darker side involving their past or something. I take inspiration for this idea from fan worsk and fan films, dough not my own, but others that I think are excelent. Now, the story wouldn't focus just on the Dragonborn, but on other characters that they would meet eventually. Characters like Balgruuf, Ulfirc, Tullius and Elisif would play large parts in the story of the Dragonborn.

The main quest would span three seasons, and in those three seasons they would interact with many guilds, including joining the Companions, working with the Thieves Guild and also the College of Winterhold. A loose adaptation of the civil war would follow, as well as expanding on the other questlines and addapting the more interesting quests. For example, an addaptation of the The Mind of Madness for an episode, or actually going to High Hrothgar in the episode intitled "Seven Thousand Steps" or Walking Nightmare for an episode. I think Skyrim's unique world could be adapted into a series, but with some major tweaks. Characters would be expanded upon and which quests could be adapted.

So, here is the question. If it was announced that it was going to be adapted into a TV Series, by someone like HBO or something, which characters would you want to be expanded on or changed, which stories would be addapted to tie in with the three season main quest? Imagine if this was announced and what you would want to be in the series? What stories would you want to be told in this 10 episode a season, 45 minute long episode adaptation of the story and world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?

Also, a title? I'm thinking of the Spartacus way of Title: Subtitle for example: "Skyrim: Way of the Voice" or "Dragonborn: Season Unending". For refrence, Game of Thrones and the show Vikings.

It was said in the previous topic that you made, Elder scrolls don't work as tv series/movie from theoretical perspective and mechanical one. The only way it would work there would had to be big cuts and changes from the game and by that point there would be no reason to even call it an Elder scrolls in the first place.

an elder scrolls themed spinoff series, maybe, but the games themselves dont have stories that can be easily adapted to fit the picture box.

This.

A series on the whole world Bethesda has built, that might be doable. It would take just the right director though. A series on just one of the games? Would svck.

I would just like to point out, why and why not it would work is for the other thread. This one is for two things really:

-ideas of spinoffs on stories and characters from Skyrim and the main Elder Scrolls series

-what stories and characters would be included if Skyrim was made into a TV series

If you have suggestions on how would you personally handle a series and adapt the story, go right ahead, otherwise, the other thread is for negative feedback on the idea. This is to better the idea, not dismiss it. Skyrim would be a great episodic series, use your imagination. I don't want Skyrim - the game to be made into a movie or series, but the legend, the story, the characters to be made into a tv series. I think Skyrim has potential, even thinking of writing up what the first season would be like.

Change the characters a bit, make the world less game like and feel more natural, tweak the story to make it more epic and episode friendly, give the characters actual character, make the Dragonborn a likeable hero, present existing lore and create new lore. Take the basic Skyrim story of the main quest, adapt other quests along the way, show other characters doing their own things.
