Skyrim Werewolf sound in Thor movie

Post » Mon Apr 28, 2014 5:00 am

I happened to catch some of this Thor movie on TV last night (it's horrible) and I heard the exact same sound for their werewolves as those found in Skyrim when you attack with your claws: https://www.youtube....?v=2H2F6DOGxFM?/a>

Skip to 10:00 and listen for the sound.

I thought it was interesting enough to share as someone seems to be copying here.

It is and the thing is it would seem the Skyrim sound people copied it as the movie was released in 2009. Someone was cutting corners when working on Skyrim and borrowed the werewolf sound, I wonder if Todd is aware or anyone else on the team.

It's very odd when you find sounds made by one company, found in another game or movie (source sounds, are not odd)

Most likely stock sound effects or whatever.

Not surprising.

Not surprise. A lot of sounds are used in a variety of games/movies.

Heck, the sounds used for Ancient Vampires in "Daggerfall" is commonly used for a lot of other things.

^ This. I've heard the 'creaking door' sound from Arena in a couple of movies.

I'd say this.

You'd be surprised just how many sound effects from films, games and tv shows come from the same general sound effect pool.

The Wilhiem perhaps being the most famous one.

Stock sound effects used in everything from games to movies to cartoons to documentaries. If got 10 cents every time i hear the rusty door opening sound from Resident evil, i'd had 3鈧?20c :teehee:
