I don't think maxing all perks(confirmed) and joining all factions will be possible.

so ill go w/ option 2

It′s not about what will be possible but the OP is asking what people would prefer :P

I want to specialize and choose my alliances. I like choices and consequences. Being good at everything and being godlike is extremely boring.

I hope that we won't be able to join all the factions and I'd really like to see different endings. In my opinion, replayability is very important.

Option one would be a flaw in game design, so my vote's for option two.

While I, personally, don't want to max everything and be godlike or anything like that, I want the option. It's not really freedom if there are a bunch of limitations in place.

I don't actually care about different endings but I do care about non-linear and going where and when I want and doing whatever I want.

A mix of the two. Maybe not all god-like and perfect on my first file, but once I learn the mechanics of the game and discover all of the nooks and crannies I'd like to make the ultimate bad ass.

Would you like to see different endings in Skyrim?
(For example, would you prefer linear ending like in Fallout 3, or different endings based on your decisions/factions like in New Vegas?)

Option 2 for me, though I understand why some would like option 1

Might matter if the game actually had an ending at all, but...

I'd love to see having different ways for the Main Quest (only thing that actually does end) to turn out based on your choices instead of the standard good/evil system where the difference between being "good" and "evil" is whether or not you're a dike while doing the same quests, with the same results, and saving the same people. But I long ago gave up on ever actually seeing it happen in a game.

I chose option two. It gives the game replay-value.

This ^^

If you can make choices that influence your path, you get different paths for different characters a lot more fun and entertainment in my book.

2 however I believe all of those are possible, and in a TeS game open to everyone to play how they wish with some constraint.

Choice and consequence in story / role / quests / faction / deaths.
God like abilities in leveling and equipment.
Hack and slash in combat, but combat should not be the only choice.

I'd like a mixture of the 1st and 2nd options. I love choices that really mater, but i'd also want to see myself *eventualy* after a long period of time (maybe a month of gameplay) become a god-like character who can't find her equal on the battlefield.

I picked option 1. I like to be able to do everything with one character if I desire.

option #1. But with a slight twist with #2. I would like to join all the factions I thought it was fun! But I do want more consequences. Though if I can't, If I have a choice between fighters and mages guild- Fighters. and a choice between Thieves and Dark Brotherhood- DB for sure.

I want to be free to become god-like if I put my mind into it.

But I wish to see choices and consequences too.
And not the kind of consequences you can instantly compare by reloading and picking the other dialogue line.
I want to see the effects of my actions in the long run.
And only a really diplomatic, smart, sneaky and lucky character should be able to work for opposite guilds.

I think It should be possible to be godlike in everything (option 1) but it should be so tedious (days of power leveling) that it is unattainable in practice. There is no limit to how good you can be with a guitar, or how fast you can run. But even if you're gifted you simply don't have time to be 'The Best' in BOTH. So for simplicity, option 2
