Skyrim will not have Cloth Simulation at all?

I sincerely doubt it. Look at the arms.

From what can be seen of the face it doesn't look human?

I agree, it looks weird... part of the helmet perhaps?

I was thinking if they're using Havok Behavior that they'd also use stuff like this

I was hoping this is true too.

The engine should be able to handle it. It is optimized for the consoles.

Or a bloodsoaked beard that's sticking out, the angle makes it hard to tell. The arms are clearly not Khajiit though.

In both screens the clothing is rigid, it looks exactly as Oblivions did, with the same bad rig and stretch in the middle on skirts. The loincloth is moving with the bend legs, not to the side. It seams we get the gloriously animated trees and dynamic slow, and while you stand in a hurricane your clothing is going to be the only unmovable thing around...

I think we are getting a little bit greedy, don't you?
I guess with these videos you are posting, such detail is getting closer to being more common.

Either way, I don't care too much. I'd much rather they have a first-person body

(every time I get my hands on a next gen first person game, I always look down. And am generally disappointed. Booting up Bioshock for the first time : OH NO I LOST THE LOWER HALF OF MY BODY IN THE PLANE CRASH)

Yea maybe it is the helmet? I'm just scraping for anything other than a picture of a nord here! I've heard something about a pic of an elf being stabbed but that you can only see the elf from the back...

It makes the world feel more alive. Adding to the general joy of an open-world RPG.

Sure, but that's not gameplay... Its purely cosmetic.

The original Fable, on the Xbox mind you, had clothing physics. It's literally asking for years old technology.

Yep. This screen shot hasn't been released by GI on the website (aside from those of us with magazines). You may want to remove that screen shot asap.

That screenshot is released to everybody. It is accesible through their website with need of passwords/membership ect. It is in one of their articles.

This is cropped. The actual screenshot has more to the left. This looks like the scan version.

It doesn't matter... The screenshot's been released already, so what if it MIGHT be the scanned version. Sure it's technically against the rules, but this is not hurting anyone at all. Besides, it's also plausible he linked to the scanned version (if it is scanned) by mistake not realizing it was scanned. Don't get this guy in trouble for such a silly reason.

The more you talk about scans, the more attention you attract... My bad about the screen shot being released already. The community is nice enough to point it out in multiple posts. If there is cloth simulation physics, I expect it to be very minor at best.

He's offline. He's not going to see any of that. All you are doing is drawing attention to something that does not need attention drawn to it.

Hey OP, isn't that a scan? might want to get rid of that link...
I was just gonna say, I've yet to see the magazine yet and those pictures offend me!!!!!! I'm going to report this thread to the moderators. (haha I can already see tons of people throwing vegetables and other such objects at me)
Nah I'm just kidding, it don't bother me. What does piss me off is that stupid frickin GameStop won't sell me the [censored] GI magazine unless I buy a [censored] subscription. So I have to buy all 12 magazines just so I can look at 1? frickin bull poop man. I hate GI with a passion any ways. In fact, I don't read magazines period. But that's where eBay comes in. :)

Actually that is one of the screen shot I'm referring to. Now if we can only get the shot of the same guy from the "Here There Be Dragons" page of the mag I can point out that the clothe and the leg are pretty much on the same position as your screen shot.

I assume you mean the one with the dragon breathing speaking fire? If so, I can't really tell. It does seem to be swayed in the same direction, but again that could be from him shifting to raise up his shield. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part though

What are you talking about? I even conceded it was against the rules, hell, you even QUOTED me:

What I AM saying is you are attempting to enforce a rule for an alleged offense that is completely benign considering the screenshot was already released to all, and the fact that it is perfectly plausible he simply did not realize it WAS a scan in the first place since, you know, the screenshot has been released. There is no need to call attention to it, there is no need to do try and get him in trouble. I mean it's borderline sadistic.

Yeah, i've yet to see anyone do anything meaningfull with it other than eye candy, so while it would be neat, I don't really care.

Well realistic textures, snowfall, lighting, water graphics, fire etc. are all just eye candy that don't really have a necessary function towards playing the game. Still would you have the same attitude if they start cutting that stuff out, if the sky looked cheap and the clouds never moved and just stayed the same.

The only place I would really like to see cloth physics would be on banners and flags and things like that. Clothing seems trivial to me. Maybe portions of clothing but not all of it.

No, but you are taking it to an extreme. I don't care too much about the graphics, but I want a good looking game. That does not however mean I'll be devastated if my clothes don't flutter about in the wind.
