Since my PCs were updated to 10 I can't get Skyrim to run from the Steam platform. When I try I get a pop-up that informs me the game has failed to start (unknown error) and I am then advised to follow a link to the Steam support page. This page advices deleting my apache file which I have done but with no improvement. I also followed the advice for running as administrator in the compatibility mode for windows 7 which actually works OK but without mods. I ended up creating a shortcut on my desktop which is titled 'TESV -Shortcut' which seemed a little strange but as I said apart from no mods does work.
I have also tried updating my GPU drivers but again it didn't solve the problem.
I have the same problem on both my laptop and desktop. The game worked fine on both before the 10 upgrade.
Really hope you guys can help.
