Skyrim Wish-list

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 3:46 am

Well, I just thought i'd start a forum asking people, what do you hope will appear in Skyrim. I really wish that more wildlife will be added, I always found Oblivions countryside to be rather "dead".. So tell us people, what do you hope to see in Skyrim????

I hope to see some destructible environment and scars in the ground after a dragon fight. I would like the ships to be moving in real time and dockers loading and unloading merchandise. I would like to see traders pulling handcarts and some public ceremonials (religious, celebration, riot, ect...). Skirmishes like 30 vs 30 between the clans would be cool.

I was thinking there, but i'd actually really like more life in the cities as well, like more people, unique day patterns for different individuals, give the game a more realistic feel

  • Combat similar to Mount & Blade Warband
  • Sea monsters
  • Ravens
  • More clothing than in Oblivion
  • More options when it comes to light armour
  • Intelligent dragons that may speak / try and deceive or manipulate you
  • A dragon-specific difficulty slider which affects their aggressiveness
  • Realistically dark dungeons (ancient dungeons with no source of light should be pitch black)
  • Weird and unique creatures like Morrowind
  • No empty shell / purely decorative buildings you cannot enter
  • More emphasis on factions, guilds, and other side-stuff
  • A plausible fast-travelling system (more like Morrowind or Nehrim than Oblivion)

Every city should have there own thieves guild and not one for the entire region and there should be a quest that brings theme toghether and you can deside witch city come out on top as the best thieves guild with a grey fox cowl replica, the real one has been lost since oblivion possibly returned to nocturnal for whatever reason.

Skiing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skiing vikings had a god of skiing so some cross [censored]ry for skyrim could be fun especialy if we can go down a slope.

Any object in your inventory is a weapon, you can at least throw it at an enemy for small damage or just as a distraction and defence breaker.

and everything in this http://www.localhistories.org/vikinglife.html adapted for the elder scrool.

I never heard anything about the pack of wolves hunting, but it sounds brilliant :celebration:, I hope they bring a better "friendship" system into skyrim

One of the biggest flaws in Oblivion was the incredible amount of loot we could find and sell, which made it somehow ??useless and uninteresting the merchant stores, because they served primarily to sell all the junk we could find, but there were very few items that we bought from there.

I want to see in the merchants stores of Skyrim unique and very powerful items that will sell for very high prices to us so that the merchants have a reason to exist (and all the insane amount of money we can collect have a true gameplay destination too)

The main thing I am hoping to see is more costumization for the magic side of the game:

More types of Destruction magic other than fire, frost and lightning.
Outfitting summoned creatures with armor, weapons and new abilities like choosing what weapons your skeleton carries, upgrading their damage or giving them spells.
A Reanimate spell. In Oblivion, you could get the Staff of Worms which had the Reanimate effect, however the only way to get the spell was in the PC version via cheat codes.

More Aquatic Creatures.
More fauna and flora altogether.
I want a quest where a settlement near a lake has had sightings of a sea monster, and then you go hunting for the sea monster.
More flying things.
More than one Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.
A reference to Glarthir.
Fishing Rods.
