So, one month ago I bought Skyrim and started playing it on my xbox, it was working all fine until my xbox said it was unreadable everytime I tried to load a save file. Ok no problem, I today bought a new Skyrim disk and tried it, it just wouldn't start. The screen stays black sometimes the xbox freezes and once the game worked until the dragon logo showed up and stopped, there was no menu, it just stopped after that try, the game stays at the black screen every [censored] time.

NOTE : I HAVE ALREADY TRIED CLEARING THE CACHE

Can someone help me out here? I'm going through struggle to play this game, do I have to get another copy or?

Likely your game save is corrupt, Have you tried another one or create a new character.

One thing you do not want to do is use the auto save method since that has a habit of getting corrupt.

The motto save often and save on new save file.

Do you have the game installed on the hard drive or are you trying to run the game from the disk?

Can you return the new disk you recently purchased and get a replacement one.

Well, yeah buddy but I just want to confirm that's it the disk. Like come on man, my favorite game wouldn't work and this is pissing me off and I transfered my saves to my USB flash drive and when I connected it to the xbox again, I found that all the saves were deleted, now I have to restart the game from 0. Just great

Other disks work from other games.

I never had a xbox so I do not know if it can play dvd movies or audio disks. What we want to know if it is the optical reader or the disk.
