Hey guys,

I bought Skyrim yesterday from my local Game shop. Its a preowned game but has hardly any scratches on the disc.

I started to play it for the first time today but the game wont work, and I was wondering if anyone knew a solution to fix it.

I started up the game as normal and my Xbox said that it had an update associated with Skyrim, so I let it update. It then went to the Skyrim home menu, so I clicked 'New game'

The game plays but when you sit in the carriages no one talks, and the blond guy just stares at you. this continues all the way into the town, where again no one speaks. When the carriages stop moving the sound effects of the moving horses and carriages continue, and the carriage drivers keep flicking the rains like they were moving. But the game doesn't do anything else, I left it on for an hour and nothing happened, you can't get out the carriage or do anything apart from move your head around.

Has anyone accounted the same issue.

And has anyone got any help they can give.

I've tried uninstalling it from my xbox memory and re installing it but that didn't do anything.

Have you tried http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/system/clear-system-cache on your XBox?

If that doesn't work, I'd recommend taking the disc back to the store where you bought it and ask if they can test it. If they can replicate the problems you're having on one of their consoles, they should exchange your copy for a new disc.
