Hopefully that wont be too long, come on now I want some realism mods like - need food to survive, gold harder to get, some combat tweaks, some of the overpowered high-end smith/enchant toned down, etc.

It's been this way with every TES series, nothing new.

I played vanilla oblivion and bored myself silly. I stopped at level 10. Only fired it up again a year later once some of the big mods starting making their way into the game.

Skyrim is great as is, I'm sorry you don't see it that way but mods are being churned out already so best of luck to you.

Have you seen the UI mod they are planning?

Skyrim is currently great, even awesome.
