Hi! I recently bought skyrim again on the games on demand bit of XBL after trading in my boxed copy a while ago. any way i downloaded the game and all DLC, and loaded up my old save game, all was fine until a couple of days ago when the game started to refuse to load my save, any of my saves! i've cleared the cache, didnt help, i even went as far as formatting my 360's HDD (backed up my saves onto a usb stick) and then redownloaded skyrim and the DLC and trying again, no luck, i click load and it says "this disc is unreadable try cleaning with blah blah blah".

I have even tried removing the HDD and downloading the game etc straight onto a usb stick, but it still says unreadable when i try to load a save? It works if i start a new game, but only up to the point when it auto saves, then it says unreadable?!

I've not tried any other games since formatting the HDD as i only want to play skyrim. but they all seemed to work fine before. and i dont see any corrupt files anywhere?

my 360 is a slim one (the shiney black one). any ideas why this has started happening?

Try this, delete or archive all your Autosaves (there should be two of them) then start a new game, let it Autosave, then see if you can load that autosave that was just made.

I have tried to do just that, but the game crashes when it trys to auto save, it wont load a save and wont save at all?!?

Autosave a new character or an existing one?
