Skyrim on Xbox

Post » Wed Oct 19, 2011 12:46 pm

I have an xbox, and a very nice computer. I much prefer xbox controls, but I've pre-ordered for tyhe PC because I just can't see an xbox running a game like skyrim. We all saw how it buckled under the weight of New Vegas, how is it going to be able to run something like Skyrim?

If you prefer Xbox controls then just use a controller with your computer. They use USB and plug right in. You might have to download something from Microsoft though to get it working perfectly.
As for power differences. Crysis 2 ran more smooth than Crysis 1.

Newer can mean three things:
  • Require same computing power
  • Require more computing power
  • Require less computing power (optimization of engine)

Yeah, that would seem like a logical choice, OP.

Mouse + keyboard is superior to a controller in every way if you're used to it. If you really do think an xbox controller is better somehow then just use it together with your pc.

What purpose does this thread serve? It will just turn to console bashing.

new vegas wasnt made my the same team who is making skyrim. hence why when ever the skyrim dev's talk about previous games they never include new vegas. but hey new vegas is still one heck of a game. i have very very high hopes for skyrim. im not stupid enough to believe it will have no bugs or problems but what game doesnt have problems at first?

Hate to break it to you OP, New Vegas buckled for PC and PS3 as well, now most of the bugs that afflicted the 360 for FNV barely affect it's users any more, thanks to mods the PC was fixed, but PS3 is where New Vegas really buckled.

Besides, Obsidian made New Vegas, not Bethesda, your point is moot, sorry to say.

Obvious choice is the PC so if you prefer a controller then by all means, hookup your 360 controller to your PC.

I'm aware that Obsidian and not Bethesda made FNV, I was only comparing Skyrim with it because they're both large and ambitious sandbox games.

Yeah, I also doubt an Xbox could run Skyrim.

But an Xbox 360 can.

Play on whatever you like. But pleas don't make threads here that pit them all against one another. It causes flamewars about personal preferences.
