Skyrim vs. Your Social Life

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:37 am

No friends or social life in reality, so I got all the games to keep me occupied and to have an enjoyable experience. :celebration:

Not really. I'll want to play all the time, but I also want to keep my girlfriend. It'll be a few sessions a week as always. Besides, at least I'll be able to make the game last longer that way. Saves me money by not needing to buy anything else for a very long time.

It's already killing my social life and the game hasn't come out yet.

Meh, I've pretty much talked my two actual friends into getting Skyrim too, so at least we will be able to sit in vent and scream like maniacs every time we are about to die.

Btw, "social life"? What on Earth is that?

My bf will probably end up feeling pretty neglected though.

Make sure he gets a copy too!

I voted "never had one," but not sadly - humans are pesky, disagreeable creatures I prefer to avoid for the most part.

End of my social life? Probably not, I'll rarely pass up on a chance to hang out with my friends. But I will say that I'll spend waaaaay too much of my free time on this game. I'm ( 4 months away from being) 16 though so I have alot of time on my hands. I'm not good enough to get on any sports teams so I only play with my friends. Sooooo to sum it all up.

I'm a nerd with alot of time on my hands, and it won't be difficult to balance my Skyrim time vs my social time, since I have about six hours of free time on weekdays and usually nine or more hours of free time on the weekends.

Social life comes to a halt when winter begins and that happens about mid Oct. So, I'll not notice.

He doesn't play - just can't get into it (believe me, I've tried!). The only games that held his attention for more than a couple of hours were a racing game (need for speed maybe?) and the latest GTA. He tends to mosey off down the pub or play his guitar, so he doesn't interfere with my gaming too much :P

Lol. No. That would be silly.

I'm gonna play it a lot. But I've never had trouble balancing my social life with my hobbies.

Thankfully social life will win - the thing about single player games is that I don't feel the need to go play like i'm missing something. Now if skyrim was an mmo i'd be sunk - those get me every time.

I love TES because nothing happens unless I'm there :-P

I don't think so. I don't know. I mean, I'm very social. Kudos to Neil Strauss.

But I think I might hold off four weeks from my extra fun activities with people just to play Skyrim, but it won't dominate me.

Well, since I moved to a new school where there are only uninteresting girls and effeminate terards I haven't had a real social life. I'm just so lazy I can hardly ever bring up the energy to contact my friends. It's not all my fault though, since they never contact me either. Shows how good friends they were, huh.

Maybe, I know i have convinced one friend to go to the mid-night release at Gamestop. Thing is is I get a call from my friends saying come here or hey we are going there at this time I will probably put down the controller. I already have tons of free time as I have most of my classes on tuesday and friday.

Whatever scrappy remnants of a social life I have left will be obliterated. At least for a few weeks.

I don't socialise a lot, so my social life probably won't suffer too much. Frankly, I'm better left alone most of the time.
