It's hard for me to say since I haven't played it, but my top games list is something like:

-Halo 1, 2, and 3
-Shadow of the Colossus
-Fallout 3
-Oblivion
-Half Life 2
-World of Goo
-Ratchet and Clank 1 and 3
-Ocarina of Time
-Pokemon Gold

In no particular order.

Too early to tell.

All I can say is that beeing TES it has a high probability of making top 10.

I would say this holds true for me as well.

Hard to say but if its better than Oblivion then it will go like this

1. Skyrim/Mount&Blade.... Cant tell till i have played skyrim

2.Oblivion

3.Daggerfall

4.Half-Life 1-2

5. Shadow Of Colossus

1.Morrowind
2.Oblivion
3.Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
4.Heroes of Might and Magic III
5.Halo 3

It Seems I really like the third installment of a lot of games.

Top 5 games.. I'm sure skyrim could climb in there my list is pretty old and not really ordered
Front Mission 4
Armored Core (from 2 to Silent Line which is technically 4 titles but their all sequels and all use the same system of mechanics)
~~Final Fantasy Tactics~~ Shining Force 2
Bushido Blade (sooo many player vs player battles in this game I have to throw it in all time favorites)
Ultima Online anytime pre- pub15. You killed that game for me EA.

Tough only picking 5 titles wish I could squeeze at least one in from a current gen console, and morrowind should probably get a spot over bushido blade.

Im sure that Skyrim will have the first place in my list.

1. The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion
2. Fallout 3
3. The Elder Scrolls III Morrowind
4. Pirates Of The Carribean, Game developed my both Akella and Bethesda i think. Potc is a great game, with the Build 14 mod it is to amazing.
5. Battlefield Vietnam, Mount&Blade or GTA IV.

As you might see Bethesda got the four top places. Bethesda is the best developer of 'em all.

Oblivion, demon's souls, warhawk, skyrim and dark souls are my top 5. Although two of those are still unknowns because I have not played them..

From what I've seen so far, Skyrim will definitely be top 5, maybe even number 1. My current list is:

1. Oblivion
2. Halo 3
3. BFBC2
4. Two Worlds
5. Archlord
6. Fable 2
7. Mirrors Edge
8. World at War
9. Pokemon (Crystal, Gold, Silver)
10. Battlefield Vietnam

I'm afraid that Skyrim will have the same illness 99% of all RPG's these days suffer from. Lack of depth.
A huge collectiong of shallow and boring quest lines, having no interesting or engaging storyline at all thus completely missing the point of what a good RPG should be.

Therefor it will probably never make my top 5, but one can hope.

My RPG top 5 looks something like this, in no particular order:

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
Planescape: Torment
Shadowrun (the old one, on the Snes)
Morrowind
Fallout 1 & 2

Is Skyrim in your top 5 games of all time/ will be once you played it. My top 5 will probably be like this:

1: skyrim/ jak and daxter games
2: Oblivion
3: Rainbow 6 vegas 2
4: assassins creed games
5: starwars battlefront

What are your top 5 games ever over any console or pc?

EDIT: I know many of you want to play it before choosing skyrim, but i love the whole knight role playing games, so it will be an instant hit with me, no matter what happens.

5. Fallout New Vegas

downloaded Witcher 2 from Steam but haven't had time to play it yet.

Looking forward to Bioshock Infinite and ME3 during 2012.

I do not know what game comes first and what next, but my top five should be in no order:

Doom 2, Diablo, Morrowind, Might and Magic VII, and maybe Deus Ex.

Skyrim and Minecraft (when it is complete and full featured), might go up there, and I really hope so for Skyrim.

I have enjoyed a lot of games add it was a tough decision picking up those 5.

For instance I loved KOTOR, and Civilization games, Surf city, Heroes of might and magic games, No one lives forever, Unreal, Quake, Diablo II, and it was a hard decision not picking Jade Empire for the top 5, but those five had cost me more of my time.

From what I've heard of Skyrim so far, It will probably make my top 5.
