Skyrim in your top 5 games?

Post » Mon Dec 27, 2010 12:25 am

Is Skyrim in your top 5 games of all time/ will be once you played it. My top 5 will probably be like this:

1: skyrim/ jak and daxter games
2: Oblivion
3: Rainbow 6 vegas 2
4: assassins creed games
5: starwars battlefront

What are your top 5 games ever over any console or pc?

EDIT: I know many of you want to play it before choosing skyrim, but i love the whole knight role playing games, so it will be an instant hit with me, no matter what happens.

Nope, not a chance. See my signature.

Skyrim might break into that top 10, but I very much doubt it'll get into the top 5.

It's a little hard for me to place it into any kind of list like that because I haven't played it yet. I can say, though, that I am highly anticipating it.

Of course. I wish they'd make a Starwars BF3 already though!

You don't think it could beat Oblivion? Sounds to me like it's improving on Oblivion in almost every way.

I can't judge the game by the screens and the trailer I have seen. I need to play it, then I can answer your question.

If it surpasses MW and otherwise delivers on expectations without any glaring flaws, it could very well take my top spot.

Right now my top 5 list looks like:

Thief: The Dark Project
Zelda: A Link to the Past
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Super Metroid
Final Fantasy VI

...still love the SNES era.

Setting plays a huge part for me when it comes to games. Morrowind is probably a better game than Oblivion overall, but I prefer Oblivion because of the setting. The lush green forests and traditional medieval-style fantasy appeal to me a lot.

Skyrim will be diverse, but i'm really not convinced the setting will appeal to me at all.

Man how could you leave out the first Mass Effect from your list. I agree with you in that Mass Effect 2 is very good, but the first one is definitely better.

It'll probably move to number 1 ahead of Oblivion but I need to play it 1st before I can put it on my list.

I gotta play it first, but from what I've seen so far it's got a chance.

1. Baldur's Gate 2
2. Kotor
3. Morrowind
4. Mass Effect 1/2(probably 3 as well)
5. Ocarina of time.

Yes I liked Bioware...until DA2.

My top five as of now:

1. Final Fantasy VIII
2. Mass Effect
3. The Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time
4. TES III: Morrowind
5. Halo: Combat Evolved

Idk how good skyrim will be, but it'll have to earn a top five spot. Top ten I can prolly guarentee though lol

Okay, well I suppose it's a bit less lush, but Nordic style is pretty close to traditional European fantasy style anyway. I mean the shots of Riverwood look like it could fit easily in Oblivion, for example. And Riften looks pretty lush/peaceful sort of place with fairly similar to Oblivion style architecture. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lrm97dBqNo/TUFlf8E0PZI/AAAAAAAAAYM/zpU1C-tvpWw/s1600/artofskyrim_004_town.jpg

Star Wars KOTOR 2 is also a favorite for me, probably not in my top 5, but definitely top 10.

Eh... Kinda hard to say... Given that no-one here has played it...

It is shaping up to be in my Top 5, but at the moment, it isn't even on the list...

I'm very confident that Skyrim will be no 1, but for now it looks like this:
1, oblivion
2, Fallout 3
3, ME2
4, FIFA 2010
5, Gta San Andreas

I base it on a number of things but a big thing for me is time spent and replayability.

Ask again after I've had a chance to play it.

For now my list would be (in no particular order):

Morrowind
Crusader Kings
Europa Universalis
Civilisation
King of Dragon Pass

2 had better weapons and your character wasnt constantly moving around there sniper rifle like they had some for of nerve damage
and in my opinion 2's story was a little better but 1 did have wrex :)

ME did have more to explore too but eventually there was a part when there was nothing to fight just like ME2
