Skyrimitis

Post » Sun Jun 30, 2013 12:07 am

I fear I have fallen victim to Skyrimitis. I hear it's going around still? ....lack of concentration, sore wrists & thumbs, sleep deprivation, and upon waking, Skyrim start up music begins playing itself on repeat in your head...

I cant stop playing Skyrim.
The songs are stuck in my head.
I can picture in my head any part of the land or any dungeon just by thinking of it.
I am a console user who has 4,100+ hours and still not bored.
I say things from the game.
I dream about the game.

Skyrim is not a game. it is a new life.

It's been 14300 hours since 11-11-11.

That means you've spent, almost 30% percent of your life playing Skyrim since it released.

Taking into consideration you probably sleep, it's 65% of your conscious life.. How do you find the time to cook, eat, take toilet breaks, get laid and work?

If you had a regular job, that would be 30% of your time, you literally wouldn't have time to take care of your own hygiene or waste.

What kind of life are you living?

Although I wish somethings were better. Skyrim always keeps pulling me back, just like Morrowind did.

Dragonborn, Dragonborn
By honor is sworn...

Recently got another round of Skyrimitis. Should make a new save. Haven't reset since Dawnguard came out.

The symptoms you describe sounds more like me and everyone else back on 11-11-11 :P

Same. Not that I do not want to, I just pretty much done everything in it. Also, work has made me not in the mood lately for games like Skyrim (Been sticking with TF2 a lot though).

I fear I will contract this eventually, although it would be the Morrowind theme playing in my head.

To be fair, some of the Skyrim theme is Morrowind's theme

Had it for ages and still have characters on all three platforms calling for my attention. The new PC has not been infected yet though, it is still in testing and set up mode. But gaming will be soon.

Yeah, but something about the Skyrim theme turns me off. But there is just something awesome to me about the Morrowind theme, and I wouldn't mind getting Skyrimitis so I can get it stuck in my head :D.

I like all the ES themes, tbh. Even the Redguard spinoff's theme!

Ha. Yep. I found myself trying to click on some books I came across while playing MW2. Also, saw some flowers while getting on the fwy and wanted to collect them to see what kind of potion I could make.

Since when 4,100+ hours are equal to 14,300?

I imagine the kind of life where he's free to do whatever tickles his fancy. Also the kind of life, that doesn't need to respond to questions like those quoted... that's the beauty of being free. You don't have to justify what you do to anyone... More power to him! Live doing what you love...   :bunny: :bunny: :bunny: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:

Hell, if you AREN'T spending a third of your time doing what you enjoy... I honestly think adjustment need to be made. No one should spend more than half their time doing things they hate. That's an existence that needs a change. IMO.

Skyrimitis is like Smoking.

There is no cure and the only way out is to throw the game in the bin and sell your console or PC. :D

What I get from this is that you believe the quoted user in question stated that 4100 = 14300 to which I say: did you even read the full post? And I just can't get it off my mind.. 4100+ CAN equal 14300, as the + implies it could be any number above 4100, including 14300.

Not trying to sound rude or anything.

I'm sure just throwing out the game (or preferably selling it) would suffice.. unless you're on PC and don't have the willpower to not download torrents.
