Skyrims Plot was not as good as Oblivions.

Post » Mon Apr 08, 2013 7:10 pm

anyone else feel this way?

When you beat Skyrims main Quest you think "huh... that was surprisingly easy...".

But when I beat Oblivions main Storyline and got this Cinematic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCXQI2Q1sQg really had felt I accomplished Something, I felt like a real Hero, someone who would have been written in the History books.

But after Skyrim, I did not get such a feeling... I simply felt.. empty to be quite honest...

EDIT: not to mention, the OP for Oblivion got you much more "pumped up" then Skyrims: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGhlg4JqvQw

HAH HAH HAH funny...

No I dont feel this way. Oblivion's ending , while good, didn't have as much impact of the dragons all shouting Paarnuax and you as the new overlord.

I completely agree. Skyrim's plot was absolutely terrible. They should be ashamed for making such a bad storyline. Twilight was a better love story than Skyrim.

I agree with OP. Skyrim's ending made me feel empty. So I have completed it once on my first play-through, but I can't bring myself to do it again because I don't want to feel like that again/ nor do I feel compelled to do so. I genuinely felt it necessary to save Tamriel in Oblivion, and when I did, I was recognised on a much wider scale than Skyrim... where NOTHING changes apart from I get a bard song.

(I completed Oblivion's MQ at least twenty times).

They both have terrible storylines but oblivion takes the cake if you ask me in terms of poopyness.

It shocks me how bad Bethesda are in terms of main quest writing when they are so brilliant at making incredible gameworlds.

It's such a astronomical contrast.

To be honest, when I saw the whole ending after Oblivion's main quest all I thought was "what the [censored] is this [censored]?".

Skyrim's storyline wasn't really good either but was pretty much better than Oblivion's, in my opinion.

Wh... huh? Love story? Skyrim's all about fighting dragons, devouring their souls, and preventing the end of Tamriel. o_0

lMAO Dragonborn has a much better motivation then the COC, having the sub-conscious desire to kill and dominate.

All you had to do to defeat Alduin was travel to Sovngard and kill him there. at the end of Oblivion, the Imperial City, the safest city in continental tamriel is being flushed with Daedra, and Mehrunes Dagon takes the field. the city would have fallen in a few minutes after he came, only way to banish him was for Martin Spetim, the Last Septim Emperor and a Dragonborn to mix his blood with the Amulet of kings and inturn become of Avatar of Akatosh himself, sacrificing himself in the process. and at the same time ensuring Oblivion gates can never again open

Now, try again to say Skyrims Victory was "Harder to Achieve"

If dovahkiin was killed all would have been lost.

It is basically the same outcome.

They are both good. Except Delphine, hate Delphine! Why can't I marry her? And I'm never made into a official member of the blades. I feel like a tool. All my friends were made members of the blades. They were given armor. I had to steal a really old one that was full of dust in some chest for who knows how long ago.

Skyrim's plot would have been better if they actually made the fight with Alduin hard.
