After making this I can definitely tell that much of the footage was sped up to cram in as much in as possible. you can really get a good look at the shadows and weather effects nearer their normal speed. Check it out.


I've got 550 captures too and I'm probably going to keep messing around. Maybe make a slide show vid. Thinking of chopping out all the scripted dragon fight stuff and further slowing down what's left.

Thoughts on the vid and idea's for other's perhaps?

This remix removes the wall scenes completely and pushes all the dragon fight scenes to the end. Most of the scenes have bee slowed to 1/4 speed. Audio is also replaced with credit at end of video.

Nice. Slowed down it definitely helps you appreciate the little things. The music sounds like a handicapped choir though, but that can't be avoided

The narrator sounds like he smoked way too much weed.

Wow I notice the snow blowing off the side of the mountain near the end(were the dragon leaps off the piller), amazing. And I saw a dude walking in the Dwemer Ruin city. But the snow blowing in the wind is really amazing.

And great job unloading the half speed trailer. Man this is all I need now to tide me over(video wise), no more videos for me. This showed me just enough so I know what to set my expectations at. I would still like a bit more gamplay info though, so I know what to set my expectations at for that. For example the nature of horses in the game.

Hmm, does anyone think the dragon shout made the dragon blind? It seemed the dragon, after getting shouted at, knew the general area where the dragonborn guy was at but couldn't get an accurate strike (mainly referring to when the dragon was flying down towards him with its mouth open but ended up exposing its belly).

Wow nice job. The audio won't win any awards but you can really see the detail now. Damn this game is gorgeous.

Yeah, the first couple times I watched it at that speed it made me laugh quite a bit.

Probably going to do something else with the vid like striping out all the wall scenes and replacing the audio.

People should just go download the HD version (1280x720 MP4) from shacknews.com. Then get a copy of VLC. You can play it back at 0.13% speed. If you play/pause through the whole thing, you can watch the whole thing almost frame by frame.

Except, that Dragon fight wasn't scripted in the sense of they animated it just for that fight. I'm sure they spawned the dragon there to get the footage, but that entire fight (besides the dynamic camera angles) was entirely dynamic and how it will be in-game.

Not sure that was a Nirnroot, personally. If it is, then they're a bit more common (there were two in the vicinity).

Yea, the audio sounds hilarious.

If you download the trailer http://cms.elderscrolls.com/sites/default/files/tes/trailer_downloads/TESVSkyrim_OfficialTrailer_US_HD.mp4 you can use apps like http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ or http://www.videolan.org/vlc/to watch it frame by frame and get great quality screenshots.

VLC - > hit the E button to go foward frame by frame (VLC does not let you go backwards frame by frame)
Quicktime -> hit the left/right arrow keys

I don't know that this is possible in Windows Media Player at all.

If you right click on the play button in windows thingy you can play half speed or double speed as well as normal.

Oh dear lord.. if you right clock on the player and select enhancements then play speed settings.. you can do anything you want....

I just noticed http://i.imgur.com/OGPs4.png at about 2:20 on the other end of the plateau after the Dovahkiin uses his shout. I guess it's a bridge, something we saw very few of in Morrowind and Oblivion.
