Slash

Hello browsers. I saw the gameplay of Skyrim at Game informer a few days and something really disappointed me. I will send you the link of this video....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpItNnYgPns

I do not know how to change the link to a CLICK HERE link, so if someone could please tell me that, I will thank you for it.

At the point of 1:41 one guy has two swords. Fine. He attacks. Bad

I am one who does not normally complain but it this the real game mechanics? Seriously he attacks and the opponent doesn't really flinch.

Will it be slash, slash, slash? Or slash, block finisher?

What do you guys think?

The opponent doesn't flinch? The opponent is doing nothing but stumbling backward from the relentless attack of his enemy.

The opponent is stumbling backwards at the time and groans and continues sumbling back when he is hit (or almost hit as it actually is, there shouldn't have been a strike).

What's the issue?

Agree with these- the opponent looks to me like he's being beat back, or at worst stumbling back trying to avoid being hit again. I fail to see the problem.

Pretty much this. The video the OP linked looks fine. It doesn't look "fakey" to me at all.

I remember noticing something odd during that part (if its the one I'm thinking off, couldn't get the link to load). It looks like blood spurts out as if the guy has been hit, but it looks like the blades miss the target. I couldn't get a great look at it during the trailer, this will probably be fixed before release, and we won't be looking from this angle during a fight, but it certainly looked off.

If this were real he would be dead. Spinning to gain momentum for his blade would have left him a quick opportunity to jab at his opponent and finish him off. So I really think that's the least of your problems.

The first strike definitely has an effect, the opponent staggers back.

However the second strike does look odd to me. I think what is happening is that the attacker actually missed. I think he misses the second sword swing, but only just barely. I mean barely.

Yep. I just played it about 50 times back to back. Here's what happens:
The attacker HITS with his longsword (right hand) and the opponent staggers.
The second attack is with attacker's LEFT hand which is a DAGGER. He misses.

The opponent doesn't react because he isn't hit. Watch very close and you can see that the second strike is with an itty bitty blade and the opponent is too far away.
