***SLI FIX*** for the Advanced Graphics Options Application

Post » Mon Jan 31, 2011 10:43 am

I went through the autoexec that this tool creates and tested each variable and found that when running SLI you MUST delete sys_spec_postprocessing=3 from the autoexec.cfg file. This causes MASSIVE black hole flickering due to all SLI profiles using a custom postprocessing setting. - sys_spec_postprocessing=3 [custom]

I hope this helps another person that wants to use this nice application when running SLI.

Here is a link to the app if you have not tried it yet.

How strange, this is similar to the SLI problem in StarCraft II... With SLI enabled, there is serious lag and black artifacting during cutscenes. If you set post-processing to a lower setting, it works properly.

Hmm, I've had issues with screen flickering in BFBC2 with my HD 5970 and that was due to Bloom/HDR ... I'm still waiting for my pre-order to arrive but maybe try altering the HDR settings so HDR is off?

These are the console commands for HDR which i got from here: http://www.fpstime.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Crysis_2_commands.txt
r_HDRBlueShift "1"
r_HDRBrightLevel "0.85"
r_HDRBrightOffset "5"
r_HDRBrightThreshold "6"
r_HDRDebug
r_HDREyeAdaptionCache "4"
r_HDRFlaresCache "3"
r_HDRForceUpdateTextures
r_HDRGrainAmount "0.6"
r_HDRLevel "6"
r_HDROffset "10"
r_HDRRangeAdapt
r_HDRRangeAdaptationSpeed "4"
r_HDRRangeAdaptLBufferMax "0.125"
r_HDRRangeAdaptLBufferMaxRange "2"
r_HDRRangeAdaptMax "1"
r_HDRRangeAdaptMaxRange "4"
r_HDRRendering "2"
r_HDRTexFormat
r_HDRVignetting "1"

Possibly changing the value of r_HDRLevel to 0 or something might help .... maybe? (real vote of confidence there XD). I'll be trying something like this if I get flickering when C2 arrives

EDIT: Also, noticed this command also:
r_MultiGPU
Maybe set it to 1 (on)?
