Slightly worried.

How come the only guy from the gamesas department replying to anyoner-ever is Chris. Even to non-fallout related stuff? And he's doing it alot which is good. But one would like to see at least one other developer or two drop a word from time to time, write a FAQ, a rule, ban someone. Something.

Been lurking around for some time and nothing, except admin. I know you're just starting up and everything so people that are there are probably busy but stil!

You guys might turn out like Paradox Interactive where Fredrik steaaals all the attention even when the other guys started posting. He even gets fan-movies about his battle with EA and other stuff. All that glory for one person? :? Do you really want that?

The other developers are shy.

No, just kidding.

I'm shy, but my therapist said forum moderation would be good for me.

Other developers have posted as well (c.f. Serg's art posts).

Nah, don't bother with those high costing, know nothing degree guys.

Just keep hanging out here and get your daily dose of 'fan therapy'.

Its free, it crazy and probably do just as much good for you at little to money loss.

(That will be 100 caps for this session today.)

For us, it's a fan forum. For employed people, it's probably hard work. Fanboys are hard people to deal with

I don't know if anyone could pay me enough to moderate game boards :)

You only need a couple of dedicated people, I've seen it before, and done it on some. Admitedly not as big as forums like this or Steam forums, but it got done efficiantly.

It's become popular for some people to allow Community members to moderate forums, but as gamesas is a corporate business there's a small chance of that happening unless you work for them ;) Goooooooood Morning Vietnaaamm!

Ah, the sweet agnoy of forum moderation.

I use to do the WizKids forums as a moderator. Then when we got so many different game lines we hired some to handle it and allowed the bulk of the forum to be handled by The Realms forum group.

Its fun, furstrating and rewarding all at the same time.

(Well, maybe not at the same time and definately not equally across the board. ;) )

So, Chris do you have to pay extra to be the gamesas forum answer guy, or are you truly that twisted

Generaly speaking a game project assigns a person to act as Community Manager. More often than not the only communication from the company developing the game title comes from that single point of contact. The reasons are many, but not the least of which are; a consistent voice for the company, a person who communicates well, and a person who is interested in building a rapport with the future player base.

You don't generaly want those crazy coder/artist/quest writer types spouting off with uncensored and un-vetted information on a public forum. They tend to leak the stuff you really didn't want to talk about just yet :)

Moderating a busy forum... every moderator's worst nightmare. Just hope that there aren't too many troublemakers and spammers and trolls and... well, you get the point. I'm a moderator at a couple moderately busy sites and even that gets troublesome every once in a while. There's nothing like a trail of blood to find your way back home
