Slit throat move. : V

On the main trailer they showed your character slit someones throat while sneaking behind them, how do you do that?. I know is with a blade and I have been trying to do it for a few hours but now luck. Anyone knows how to do it?

You have to jerk your controller real hard.

I don't know.. I leveled up sneak to the max and it chooses randomly it seems. 90% of the time it just smacks the person in the back with my dagger.'

It is random, it will only happen if you are able to kill them in one sneak attack and even then it doesn't always happen but it will eventually so keep trying.

I did it by sneaking up behind someone and doing a power attack with a dagger.

had the dagger in my left hand and couldnt do it so i switched it to my right and did it 3 times in a row lol

If you are sneaking and go up behind them with a dagger. Not sure if it works with sword too. I snuck up behind someone and they heard me, hid in corner as they walked by, went behind and slit!

It will only work if you would kill the npc with a non power attack non sneak dagger hit

If you can't 1 shot it without a power attack it won't work

I haven't tried it a lot, but every time I have tried it it worked. One-handed sword or dagger in right hand nothing in left. Sneak up behind enemy. Stop. Power Attack.

interesting because plenty of times I have tried to do that very same thing. A regular attack from behind and no sneak attack throat-slitting move but I still one-shotted the npc

Slit throat animation is triggered by sneaking up with any blade and hold right or left attack button (R2 or L2 for me). Any Dark Brother should know this information.

u have to go into sneak mode... and get up behind a guy while being completely hidden. u need to be directly behind them and stand still i think. then do a power attack. must be with a dagger. and it has to be strong enough to one shot the guy. i have a perk where any sneak attack with a dagger damage is multiplied by 15 and then gloves to double that to 30 times. so i get it all the time.

No it has to be a sneak attack otherwise there is no throat slitting and i'm not sure about sneak power attacks and i do them anyway though.

I seem to get it almost always with humans also.

I sneak directly behind and power attack and they die first attack.\

I've one shot killed character that I assume were supposed to be bosses but I assumed it was just my super awesome damage multiplier on these attacks. I forgot these animations are for killing blows.

wow.

stealth feels pretty OP against humaniods now.

The best one is when you have two swords and you kick them to the floor, then cross the swords and decapitate them

Its a perk in the 1 handed tree , claiming it allows you to "decapitate" enemies.... its that one get it and you'll be slashing throats all the time at random

Its not a power attack either cause I do it all the time with a tap of the button

You need to line up right behind them, crouch down into sneak, and tap the left OR right attack button. It will cut their throat IF it can kill them instantly

Psh throat slit, decapitation by way of a war axe is the way forward. Timberrrr
