Sload, Imga and Lilmothiit?

Post » Sun Jun 26, 2011 12:16 am

Didn't Beth say they are adding new races that couldn't be played in previous TES games? Would you like to play as a Sload? I would. Oh well... maybe for Elder Scrolls VI: Return of The King (aka, return of The Emperor - Martin and his son - doubting Thomas) eh?

The Lilmothiit on the other hand are said to be like the Khjajit save that they are foxes (according to the UESPWiki), foxes are like dogs and I like dogs better than cats...so yeah. I'd certainly like to play as a Lilmothiit.

Imga on the other third hand - that doesn't exist - are apes that see high elves as their lords and masters and try to be like them be wearing capes and what not. It would certainly be funny playing as one. They see humans (imperials?) as inferior to them too.

Sload don't seem viable from a gameplay point of view, but Imga and Lilmothiit sound interesting, but BGS have already confirmed they aren't adding any new races to Skyrim.

Did they? Linkage or it didn't happen.

Would you like to play as a Sload? I would.

Sure, what could be more fun than playing as Jabba the Mage? Er...I mean, no. I think I'd sooner play as a Lich, and I'm against making those playable too. :P

Nope. Lets just stick to the ten.
I would love to see more books about other races of Nirn for sure. But to play them? Nah.

They confirmed the 10, no more and you couldn't be a Sload without teleporting yourself around.

Only if we also include every other non-extinct race in the game as well (including the Akaviri ones).

Otherwise, the grossness of the Sload is just a little too much for me...

Ya in an interview Todd said 10 playable races, thats:

High Elves
Dark Elves,
Wood Elves,
Bretons,
Imperials,
Nords,
Orcs,
Redguards,
Kajhiit
and Argonians

Unless they take some races out of that this is what we are getting again.

I don't really care.. I don't even mind if there are ten races, I just want very definite races. It seemed they just threw in ten in Oblivion and added some lore. I think there's just three main - Humans, Elves, Beasts. Given, there are some sub-races in that. But the Elves and Humans seemed all very, very similar and boring.

Does no one on Nirn use boats then?

The Nords weren't in Tamriel until they emmigrated from Atmora where they.....?

200 years is a long time, the apperance of a new race could easily be explained in the hundres of lore books in the game. I am aware there are only 10 races in this game I am simply making the point. Hopefully Elder Scrolls VI will see some branching out.

You know, they should add these races as non playable then. Well...at least the Sload. Just one NPC would be enough. It would be interesting to see such a creature.

I don't really know the lore aspect of this question, but if it does make sense, why not? It obviously won't make much sense in Skyrim since it's just 200 years since TES IV, but TES VI could be set anytime, anywhere... I do agree with the above however, introducing us to a new race would make the series even more interesting and build lots of hype for the next game, even if it'll take six years :(

You'd have to be a mage, or stay in the water since the Sloads cant even stand up and move once they become advlts without magical intervention. They use Intervention extensively for this reason alone.

The only ways I know of for new races to be introduced would be either bringing in some from Akavir or some as-yet-unknown continent, or possibly breaking the dragon again. The first is extremely unlikely, and the second is even more unlikely.

The Imga are too primitive, the sload are too limited, and the Lilmothiit are as vanished as the Falmer.

10 races approaches the limit of manageability as it is. Yes, in the past the races didn't seem distinct enough, especially the human ones, but Todd has stated that the differences will be more obvious and clearly delineated in Skyrim.

I'v always wanted the Igma to be playable, they seem like a really interesting race. I doubt Bethesda would add in anymore races at this point though.

Ok so it would be awkered (spelling), but the Tsaesci or the Tang Mo would be fine surely?
