Thou they have waged a lot of terrible wars against Summurset Isles with Necromancy so it's probably caused by them to do what it did.

Thou it's interesting that they lost even thou their actions is always done only when they know that it will work to their goal.

See that annoys me!

Don't wealthy Altmer practice academic necromancy? And I read somewhere that in the Summerset Isles, if you practice necromancy and aren't an Altmer, the consequences will be dire. I hate the Altmer with a passion. Well, some Altmer. You're alright Aldanaril. Just some...

Even when an Altmer practices it, it seems you also have to be rich, and only for the purpose of extending the lifespan of the Altmer. Lets see...where did I find this...Ah yes, Volume one of "On the Preparation of the Corpse." Here is the exact quote
Summerset Isle is even worse in some ways. Some Altmer born into the most respected noble and scholarly families are actually allowed to study the dead in the open. Their research, however, seems to be centered on finding ways to extend their lives even further rather than the more practical uses of our Art. A Necromancer of any other race caught in Summerset Isle can expect the worst possible punishments.

so what exactly is proto-necromancy?

and getting back to the point -
do you think a sload should use weapons or just magic?
are they tentecales on the end of their 'arms' & how do they work?
what enviroment are you most likely to see them, on land or in water?
what would be a good 'idle' animation for a sload?

just a couple of questions i need answering b4 i can finish my model!!!

please give your opinion on the pictures of the sload here and improvements i could possably make

Sloads would most definitely use Magic since their hands have a rather bad grasping ability.
http://screenshots.filesnetwork.com/95/others/sload.jpg gives me the feeling that they dont have tentacles there at least not in advlt form but their fingers are a bit to big and small to grasp things with ease.

They're most likely to see under water, since they need it to not be crushed under their own size (as far as we know), but they're also seen on land (only advlts) as traders, smugglers or necromancers.
A good idle... hmm... probably one either sitting down or floating in the water... but then they would have to use Recall to get to water if they isn't in water already.

I quite like that, Sload, nice work. Maybe a bit to fatty in the face but really nice work.

Yes, the Sload you made was all right, it seemed to resemble an orgrim titan too much though. Sloads generally don't use weapons, they are particularally gifted with magic. They were classified as evil but usually broad sweeping statements are wrong somewhere, their is good and evil everywhere. Altmer are very sidistic, it's just the same with the westerner view of japanese captives stabbing themselves while someone chops their head off, Imperials think the Altmer are intimidating because they kill 9/10 of their babies so that their looks and bloodline stays pure. And yes, sloads remind me of hutts too, you're not crazy.

"Older advlts collapse under their own weight unless buoyed by water." from the first PGE implies that the advlts of the species float on the water (which makes sense given they are mostly just fat, which floats very well), while the younger life cycles would move around in the water in completly other ways (given they are described as ranging from grubs to squid/octopus, which would also mean they move around in similar ways).

Indeed, I'm so glad you and PirateLord and the others are actually (as it seems) able to make a good looking Sload into MW soon! :)

I have a question wich I couldn't find an answerd for, so here ya go.

How do the undead in the sloads land look like? Since sloads are almost addicted to necromancy and the arts of summoning, I wonder if the undead creatures that they summon are zombies and skeletons in human shape? I don't remember being men or mer on the sloads lands, so does that mean that the undead are dead sloads, or dead humans? In if they are dead sloads, what does an undead sload look like?
