Slow motion dual wield bug

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 6:59 pm

I'm not sure what triggered this, but everytime I try to attack with a weapon on my left hand whilst dual wielding, the attack comes out superslow. This only applies to the left hand, only to weapons (i.e. no slow down bug if using fists), and only if I'm dual wielding. It came out of nowhere. Loading up a save game, or even exiting to the desktop does not fix this bug.

How can I fix this? I'm on the PC.

Thank you.

FIX:

player.setav LeftWeaponSpeedMult 1

player.setav WeaponSpeedMult 1

Although I'm unsure if perks raise the parameter. Those are just the default values.

How many hours into the game are you? Does it still do it when you start a new game? What are your system specifications?

Around 35 hours in.

i7, 6gb RAM, HD5850.

Haven't tried a new game because it takes ages to start playing, but I loaded up an old save and the bug isn't present.

EDIT: I used elemental fury and the slow motion shout before this started happening. I just thought it would go away, but it didn't. A search here shows that other people have this problem, but I haven't one thread where there are any answers to it. :(

Well..I can't really play the game. I've focused all my perks and skills on dual wielding, and I can't dual wield, because I can't attack anyone.

Please, anyone has any idea what I can do about it?!

EDIT: The wiki says to enter this into the console: player.setav WeaponSpeedMult 1

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Bugs_%28Skyrim%29

But nothing happens. Well, only the right hand is affected. So if I set the paramter to 10, I swing REALLY fast...but it only applies to the right hand. The left hand still attacks extremely slow.

EDIT:

player.setav LeftWeaponSpeedMult 1

That works! I'm not sure if through perks the value is increased, but at least it's normal speed now.
