Slowly drain AP ?

I want to make an ability that slowly drains the players AP while its being used.

I was hoping I could do so through the ability menu alone using reduceActionPoints.
But that one doesnt tick, it just reduces one amount, and worse it takes it off the maximum value making it impossible to regenerate until the timer ends.

I need something that drains the AP of the player slowly, and is conditional.

Could a Script do it?

Whats the easiest way to link a script to an ability?

The ReduceAP base effect is flagged as 'Recover', so it applies a temporary modifier that then recovers when it wears off.
You want to make a copy of it and uncheck 'Recover', so it damages AP rather than temporarily modifying it.
