Sly Cooper... the movie

There's going to be a movie about Sly Cooper, as in the video game series. I played the second and third games on the PS2 and they are some of my favourites, but still... really? A movie? I mean... yeah, they released a new Sly game last year or so, but is it really necessary to make a movie? It's basically the same story we saw in the games.

Opinions?

First, a Ratchet & Clank movie and now this?

Why do I have a bad feeling a Banjo-Kazooie movie is coming...?

I'll wait until it's released to see how good or bad it is.

I think won't turn out that bad. The games already felt cinematic, so making a movie out of this makes sense to me. Love the character designs, but Bentley's needs work. He doesn't look right seeming so expressive. I was skeptical of the use of CG animation at first, but after seeing Sly's goatee, I love it. Murray's design is awesome, too.

They, oddly, did order pizza like normal people in the third game and probably in the rest of the games. The hideout is full of pizza in the Italy level of Sly 3.

No. Just...no...

Although I've never played a Sly game. But this... this just looks bad.

Ok... why wasn't the trailer set in Paris? Or was it? Felt like a generic American city.

Well I read a plot synopsis it will cover the first game. So awesome. I don't like Murrays design and hope it changes, Bently needs some minor changes, and Sly looks fine. Considering it isn't coming out until 2016 I think there's plenty of time.

Edit

That teaser trailer has nothing to do with the movie. Much like most of Frozen's advertisemants completely svcked at informing people that it was amazing. Seriously out of left field there.

Edit2

@Tallest

If you've never played a Sly game then how the hell could you possibly be qualified to judge it as a good adaptation? Unless you mean it just looks bad in general. Then whatever. Opinions.

I read this to my brother, because Sly Cooper was our childhood and we all love the games and because I thought this remark was amusing, and he said "They must be friends with the Ninja Turtles". Now that I think of it, it would make sense for Bently to be their nerdy relative.

As a side note, I like how Sly is wearing pants, but I wish Bently keep his "cartoony glasses" from the games; I really liked how the frames were like his eyebrows. And a mildly unrelated question, but is there any news on a potential fifth Sly game?

I don't like it. The games are beautiful, but this just seems unnecessary.

Frozen was an awesome movie. I agree though, it's trailers made it look like it was going to svck which brings me to my next point:

I'm just going off of movies based off of video games in general, they all svck...well...99% of them do; the first Resident Evil was pretty good as was the second. But who knows, the Sly movie may turn out to be a Frozen in disguise in that it'll actually be pretty good. But the teaser was pretty bad and doesn't make me want to go see it. Kind of like the Ratchet and Clank movie I think looks terrible and I have no desire to see it. Again, I've never played one of those games either.
