Im not so high up on the Elderscroll Lore, but could someone take the Map of Tamriel and color the Game/Map Locations Red we have bee in Past Games while leaving the Rest of the Lands as it is.

I want to see what is left for Bethesda to make, since my Only Game was Oblivion and now Skyrim.

Well, Arena took place over ALL of Tamriel, so there'd be nothing left if we included it... I'll do everything but it, then. It'll just take a minute.

There you go.
That should be everything but for Arena.

Daggerfall actually took place over a larger portion of Hammerfell than my lines show, but the Daggerfall map was a bit distorted and it's difficult to make it match this one.
Also, I noticed for the first time that on this map the city of Daggerfall is shown in completely the wrong place!

Cool, only 4 Games to go. Thanks :celebration:

Summerset Isle: A Summer Place for after the Cold Land of Skyrim :P

Valenwood:

Elsweyr:

Black Marsh: I suppose this Game would be the Last and Closing Book of Bethesda Games for Tamriel, since Everyone Hate Argonians so i keep reading around.

It seems you forgot to mark Morrowind :teehee:

When you say Arena took place over ALL of Tamriel, does that mean we have been Everywhere on this Giant World of the Map.

Actually, the game "Morrowind" didn't take place on the mainland of the province of Morrowind. It was limited to the islands of Vvardenfell and Solstheim (with one minor exception: the city of Mournhold was presented in "Morrowind", I forgot to mark that though).

And yeah, in the first TES game, Arena, you could go everywhere on that map; all of Tamriel.

Could you mark more of the Sections in your Map to make it more understandable, since it seems Visitable :P

Found a More Detailed Map, not sure if its accurate though. :read:

So if Arena is all over the Map, why are we Re-playing Portions of the Map/Games.

If we dident actually go Into Morrowind, will there be a Morrowind Game or was there suppose to be a Morrowind DLC for that Land. Why call the Game Morrowind if we werent even there. :bonk:

Well, Vvardenfell is PART of Morrowind, it's just not all of it, or on the mainland.

As for why Bethesda has made games featuring provinces that were already covered in Arena; it's because they wanted to go into greater detail with each area than they were able to present in Arena.
Despite consisting of the same land, each game has fleshed out the world further and further than the initial presentation in Arena allowed for.

Vvardenfell is in Morrowind, we went there. Vvardenfell is the volcanic island that dominates the Inner Sea. I think that the island was a good choice for a game that has to confine itself due to technological limitations ("natural" boundaries are preferable to invisible walls, IMO). It might not have been practical at the time to exhibit the province in its entirety.

You also have to consider that TES games do revolve around a story, and are not merely a sand-box game (but they excel in that too :) ). The mainland of Morrowind may have been irrelevant to the story we played in TES: Morrowind, with the Nerevarine prophecy kinda focusing on Red Mountain and Dagoth-Ur.

It might be totally possible that we'll see the mainland in a future expansion pack for Skyrim or as a stand-alone game. It might not be called "Morrowind," but they can always call it "Resdayn" :)
