Small Guns ?

Post » Thu Mar 10, 2011 5:52 am

Hi,

I'm unsure if the small guns skill also covers rifle / assault rifle? I would tend to say yes but ... I don't want to invest for nothing, as my primary weapon is the Chinese Assault Rifle as of now.

Side topic: is it possible to craft ammos? Yes, there are plenty of them into crates, but I tend to use 5.56 and not much of the rest.

the small gun skill does cover rifles and assault rifles. if you have the pit add on, you will be able to change ammo. also you can sell ammo you don't want.

Small guns covers One-handed guns and Rifles.

It's not possible (as for as I know) to craft your ammo in Fallout 3. In New Vegas you can, though. But, you can always sell the ammo that you don't use/want and use that money to buy ammo for your Chinese Assault Rifle.

And once you meet a certain person, you can trade in things like Laser Rifles/Pistols for 5.56 ammo as well. You shouldn't have a problem keeping yourself supplied.

Ammo is a decent source of income. It doesn't wiegh anything no matter how much you carry so it's like free money when you get back to town (very contrary to reality, just try lifting 400 5.56 rounds IRL, I dare you.) This includes missiles and mini-nukes too.
