Small things you want to see in Skyrim

Just a few small things that can make Skyrim seem better/more realistic... some ideas are not that good though, I admit.

The poll could need some organizing...

I just randomly thought of it as I was about click save on the poll. It would just be if you walking along, your character would raise they arm and itch, it would be random and have no need for a player to press anything. Using your example, you walking along a road, player raises one of the hands and itches an arm.

Pretty much everything from part 1, since it's almost entirely cosmetic, most of part 2, some of it would require additions to the radiant AI and extra scripts running in the background that seem unnecessary. Parts of the third group.

I'm really surprised so few people care about seeing their feet....that's one of the biggest bumps in the realism of Oblivion... if you look down you can look directly down and there's nothing.

Most of that stuff, some I don't really are for personally but woun't mind having in game for those who like it. Except for the random attacks in cities - I like having places where I actually feel safe and can relax, if someone attacks me it should be a result of a quest or some other even that I started my self.

I often play female chars, when I look down it's not my feet that I'm going to see... I'm not sure I'll enjoy getting a screen full of my cleavage every time I need to look down, and even worse - in combat when the camera turns funny :)

P.S. Ugh, why is there not "delete post" function on this forum? I keep doing this double stuff when replaying with a quote :(

Yeh, I get it that I need to do the editing better, it's the fact that I can't delete my mess ups that is a bit frustrating :( Well I'll try harder to get it right on the first go I guess...

I voted for most of these. My top 5, in no particular order, would be:
Seeing feet when looking down; just adds to the realism
Horses in towns; towns just MUST have horses!!! Makes them seem much busier and believable.
Regional value; gives the possibility of becoming a trader, buying things where they're cheap, and selling them where they're expensive. Would be nice to see prices vary over time as well, so you have to put in a bit of research before deciding what to buy and sell. Fast travel might make this a bit too easy, though...
Getting mugged; especially at nights, towns should not be perfectly safe. While the well patrolled main streets will probably be ok, wander off into a side alley and you could run into a group of robbers... gives a grimier feeling to a city.

Itching, like an animation for scratching an itch?

I would like a few animations for your character to do if you wait and stay docile for along time.

Well I wasn't in the habit of looking down and raging about not seeing my feet lol. I agree it would be nice to have my feet back but it didn't impact my vision of realism at all in Oblivion.

I want to be able to train as many skill-levels per level again like in Morrowind. I hate that Oblivion forces you to grind, it's okay for the first playthrough but I really don't want to grind subsequent characters

That's how it should be. In First-person, it feels you just a set of eyes and hands floating along. Until you went it third-person. It just adds a bit more realism.

I've been thinking of making a thread like this, but couldn't come up with enough... much less a poll.

I would really like to see Clocks of Cyrodill Skyrim. I think it is a great detail.

I would also expect the remnants of Oblivion Gates in Skyrim. Maybe not in/near cites where the populace may choose to remove them from their sights, but deep in the woods I do expect to come across a few.

TBH most of the list would be cool, but I'd love to see weapon and armour familiarity. When you use weapons for a long time, your character becomes used to it and you gain bonuses. When you pick up a new weapon, no-matter your skill with that class, it feels awkward and you suffer penalties that gradually go away. Maybe even get to name a weapon that has been with you for a sufficiently long time. This is really, really easy to implement because you just track one variable, the number of swings, or the time worn, but it adds so much and makes upgrading (especially in a limited item world like Oblivion) something to ponder rather than the careless abandon with which you discard items it currently is. It's just super cool and so much history and fantasy revolves around named objects and familiar weapons I have no idea why it hasn't been implemented already!

In Fable I liked that I could run and bump into people, knocking them off balance and generally annoying them for being rude. It's a small detail but I like it and think it would be cool in Skyrim. :)

It happened a bit too easy in fable though, you could barely go near a person without them dropping their crate ^^. But yea it would be a nice detail if you actually bumped into people hard that they'd do some kind of impact animation

I've voted everything. More little stuff does a better game, no matter what's about.

...also, I wouldn't mind if legal slaughering of zealot-ish neighbours who ALWAYS dares to bother everyone in Sunday with their stupid Flanders-like songs is also included....oh, never mind, just thinking out loud :)
