A small worry....

Post » Thu Jun 16, 2011 1:49 am

Well I heard that there are 3 confirmed factions that will be major ones. Thing is that im worried that there will be less main factions then before. (a s*it load in morrowind, 4 in Oblivion) So will there be more guilds yet to be confirmed or that's all the factions? What do you think.

Major Factions = All Factions

Well the dark brotherhood is confirmed to be a minor one...

likely along the lines of OB, 3 major factions, with several minor factions that you join through certain quests, (heck, the minor ones may add a unique perk :P )

Here's the deal: Todd named 3 off the top of his head in an interview, and somehow people have interpreted that to mean that those are the only three in the game.

You DO realize how popular the DB was in Oblivion right? Just because a faction is minor does not mean it won't be fleshed out. The Dark Brotherhood is likely minor because it is a deriviation of the 3 main archtype disciplines, just like a Temple faction is.

Well im not saying there is a 100% chance that there are only three guilds but judging that one is a mage, fighters, stealth. I figured there is a chance that there is 3 guilds... I might be wrong though. And I dont worry as much as most people here...

I think we will not be lacking for guilds to join. Who knows? Maybe the legion is recruiting again? Not bad work for some folks!

This is baseless speculation but I imagine that there will be 4 playable factions (the ones from Oblivion), much to my dismay. I'd love to see more but I don't see the ES series going that way anymore.

Be nice to have the legion again, but to my knowlege, the empire has crumbled, so I"m not sure, correct me if I'm wrong

I'm assuming the factions will be way more versatile. Apparently they "react to the world" this time around. More room for radiant story.

I'm of the opinion there will be at least 7 factions with decent content/rewards:

FG
MG
TG
DB
Pro Empire Nords
Anti Empire Nords
Religious Faction

Well you could be right but the FG is replaced by the companions, and the MG is replaced by two other guilds..

This is just mind-blowing that so many people think that there only 3 factions. Since Daggerfall, the three main factions have been Fighters-Mages-Thieves. Those were the three main ones, they were in Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion. They were the ONLY guilds in all three games. They are the main guilds. That doesn't mean they're the ONLY guilds. There will be more than just three.

Yep, Game Informer article way back when it all came out said that one of the cities (cant remember which) was the center for the Imperial guard in Skyrim. Or maybe it was OXM. Anyway one of them definitely said it.

What kind of guilds would you like to see?

I'd like to see at least 1 temple, a knightly/guard faction, and something to do with the civil war.

Syntax error! It's != not =! lol

As far as the Dark Brotherhood goes, I hope it's just as extensive as Oblivion if not more so, even though it's a minor faction which would mean the main three factions will be much bigger which is going to be awesome.

Well of course velorien.. Im not saying that there will be 3 guilds, just saying there will be a small chance. Anyways I wonder why Beth removed so many factions from morrowind... And that why that one guy made a thread that is just like this one....
