Smart practice modes

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:23 pm

howdy, today i watched one of the video's demonstrating SMART(the one on the brink website), and i got an idea what if there was an offline or solo mode were you can run around each map learning and getting a feel for it, that way youll have an environment were you can practise using the SMART feature so when u hop online or campaign youll already be familiar with the map, since SMART gives us a whole new demention for each map, i think alot of people would have trouble trying to learn each map under the stresses of multilplayer or what ever, vote if u think this is a good idea or not im just brainstorming :P

Go private, turn bots off, choose map, choose character --> Win?

I don't think it's really necessary to have a separate "gamemode' for that. I'd love to see this in a demo though. (If they would make one, which is improbable)

Just make a private game, set it to 1v1 and set bot to easy.

Start a private match with no bots like Dysfunkshion said.

Yup, and since you don't complete objectives or kill anyone, you won't get XP either.

Well I don't think you'll be able to get XP in a private match anyway because then you could just boost.

Well, I don't that boosting has much influence actually. Also remember, that you can unlock a lot through SP alone.

Abilities?

You unlock them, but you will always be matched with people that have access to the same set of abilities (remember the 4 blocks of levels?). Also, if you boost and then join a real game, you'll probably get owned in tha face. ^^

It shouldn't take to long to master SMART so you wouldn't need a mode for it?
I think

Well, I think the manual moves do require some practice. Or to find how you play the best by combining manual moves with the SMART button.

If these two say it, then it has to be the best idea possible.
