Smart way to make money: farmers

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 4:15 am

There was a topic about gourds around here so i thought i could give people a tip about making money in Skyrim.

Most farmers buy food ingredients like cabbages, potatoes, gourds and wheat and since there are a lot of barrels and sacks you can loot without being arrested, you can make huge amounts of money by selling these. Wheat in particular sells great!

Or you can just do like I do make potions to make money. I've done this on the last 2 ES series games and make a ton of cash all the while.

I stopped riding a horse everywhere just so I could pick alchemy ingredients, it quickly turns into a very lucrative business. I also sell any food I happen to pick up, not like cooking them or eating them raw does much good anyways...

I like that the game provides a way to get income without having to do quests and such. It fits a number of roles where a character has to earn some money to get started rather than steal from people or kill people to get loot to sell.

Im sure that you get more cash selling the farmer produce to shop owners when your speech gets high enough, kinda didnt see the point in farming or mining for foremans as a result of that,
