I think this depends on what body type you're using. If you're a medium, the Carb-9 is the best choice because your other weapon probably has a little more range to it. If you're playing a light, you probably want the Bulpdaun for the higher accuracy since your other weapon is going to be a pistol.

I like the Galactic with a grip, adjusted, and drum-mag. It's a bullet hose. 3-4 kills/reload. I'm not complaining. But mostly it seems to me to be the most comfortable SMG to use, but that's just personal preference.

Is this assuming no buffs on either side, and every bullet hits centre-mass? I've downed a freshly self-buffed Heavy Medic with the Galactic in less than 10 hits, but I was point-blank firing into the guy's face, and headshots make a difference.

EDIT: And it was silenced...

I'm a light and I mostly find the Carb-9 with speed sling, red dot, muzzle break and a drum magazine suit me best. Secondary would be the Sea Eagle with speed haulster and red dot.

The tampa with a speed sling has the highest weapon swap times out of the smg's I think, I use it with my med build. I have an unsilenced AR/gl with a sight and if I get into CQC trouble I bust out my tampa with speed sling/high capacity mag/silencer. The speed it takes to equip rivals most pistols, and the reload time is extremely low aswell.

If I'm using a smg as a primary I use the carb 9 because... well its a beast and can't be beat.

Lol, I knew the Carb-9 had atrocious accuracy, but this chart confirms my suspicions. It also has the second-worse recoil behind the Tampa, might even be just as bad... it's utter trash beyond close quarters.

I use dual bulpdauns (standard bulpdaun & DOOM bulpdaun) for my medium engineer. I find the bulp has much better handling all around than any of the other SMGs, and it has the greatest accuracy at long range and second highest damage next to the carb-9. It suffers slightly up close, but if you keep your cool and aim properly you can typically beat anyone that isnt using a carb at point blank.

I use a carb (primary) and bulp. Quick sling to the bulp to take out the second enemy after the carb does the first in. Seem to have better success only firing from the hip with these two as opposed to my use of an AR and iron sights.

There have been quite a lot of comp players favouring the Carb-9 but I really don't see it. True it does the most damage but the Kross has superior accuracy, therefore range and has a higher rate of fire. I have been using the Kross and SeaEagle Pistol as a light body type and the Kross and Carb-9 when playing medium. For me The Kross just feels better, currently got it kitted out with mussle break, Front grip, Red dot sight and high cap mags. Hardly ever find my self scoping even when playing medium, hip fire all the way.

I've only tried the second-level Be More Objective challenge a few times, but haven't been able to beat it. I'd like to get my hands on a Buldaun and those Speed Slings, but currently no avail.

Until then, my lightweight Engineer rolls a Carb-9 with a Red Dot, a Front Grip, and a Duct-taped magazine. I made it a habit a long time ago to duck out of the fight and reload, and would perfer Duct-taped magazine to a High Capacity magazine.

Bulpdaun is the 3rd strongest SMG, the Tampa deals more damage per-bullet, just marginally lower than the Carb-9.

I know that's a figure of speech, but the Tampa isn't that bad.
In my eyes the only sensible guns to use are the Kross (best hip fire accuracy, bad damage) or the Bulpdaun (best ADS accuracy, good damage) or the CARB-9 (best damage, bad accuracy).
There is no BEST one. It's all situational.

Well the Carb-9 also appears to be the most used weapon in the pro-leagues. And I find may people roflstomping me with it.

Not while firing from the hip, no. But even then it's a great weapon for slide- and vault-shooting

Persoally, it's my favourite gun (because I usually play my Light avatar).
Just add a high-cap magazine for more spray-fun!

the Carb-9 is my favorite, it just feels right.. puts people down fast, enough ammo to take down 2 people close up

and at med range it's not so bad either.. only at extreme range does it fail a bit

thats why you have another weapon :D

Tampa and Galactic are my faves (besides the Bulp which should be top of everyone's list, even if they like others)
