"Smi" skills

Post » Sun Jul 25, 2010 7:04 am

No, you are doing it wrong.

It is "Smirking" and replaces Morrowind's Taunting. With high smirking level, with just a gesture and you goad opponents to attack you.

And this is what happens when you reach the master levels of Smirking.

It's Smirfing. Kinda like Smurfing, but misspelt for copyright reasons.

In a humourous display of literary knowledge, BGS have renamed their overhauled Hand to Hand skill "Smifligation". When you enter a tavern and some annoying NPC gets in your way, your character will be heard to threaten to "smifligate" the offender, upon which you will enter a fisticuffs stance.

(Smifligation is a nonsense word created by dikeens which apparently means assault).

Haha I was just thinking "Smirking" The higher you raise the skill the less creepy your smirk becomes, eventually you just become a bad ass. Creepy old man smirk -> bad ass kick some ass smirk.

Yes, it must be the new speechcraft. Instead of joke, admire, boast, taunt, and bribe we'll have smile, smicker, smirk, smirch, and... bribe (a smidgeon of gold)

Smilaxcutting, where you cut down vines, very similar to woodcutting.

Smilax-noun. "Any plant of the genus Smilax, which includes climbing vines such as the catbrier."

Yep

It at least makes me want to punch stuff. It would break immersion for me if it didn't to the same to the NPC's.

It could be a scale on how smitten the players are with the game.

No, no, no everyone, you've got it all wrong.

:whisper: Inside sources tell me it's actually the Smirnoff skill.

This will radically affect gameplay because now, the skill levels YOU!

It's "Smithsonian". Improving this skill improves your odds of donating goods or enemies to the Skyrim National Museum. Any good you own can be donated, and stolen goods face a random chance of rejection (1 try per skill level, rejection gives you 50% EXP of a success). Enemies are much harder to donate (at least, living ones), but donated enemies can then be seen in an arbitrarily long exhibition hall beneath the Museum. Man/Mer enemies can be talked to and taunted through the glass.

And if it's the Smirnoff skill, do you also get Exp for drinking liquor? Because that could add a whole new dimension to gameplay...

Or possibly Serious Mental Illness.
